SHAVE OF THE DAY



Prep: Musgo Real orange amber
Razor: Gillette Red Tip
Blade: Silver Star (3rd shave)
Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
Soap: Van Yulay- Grand Lodge
Post: Osage Rub/ Aqua Velva (decanted)


2 pass shave this evening. First shave with both the Red Tip and the Van Yulay soap. The shave went wonderfully, BBS and no irritation. The scent of Grand Lodge is pretty complex. Musky, mahogany, earthy, some leather and a light grassy note is how I would describe it. A very well made scent. The performance of the soap is great as well. The razor gave a smooth forgiving shave, almost felt like their was no Blade in the razor. Very happy with the results from today's shave. Hope everyone also has a great shave!

Yea the performance was very good, and many of the scents are complex and well put together.

 

Thank you! Was really impressed with some of their scents. Grand Lodge is a very nice manly scent, without motor oil or gasoline, but more in a rich man's Study room type of scent. Amazing stuff!

Tonight's shave was rough.. It didn't go well. I skimmed the cap and used no pressure. This razor is aggressive.. I'm going to have to wait until Sunday for another shave.

Good morning gentlemen. Very nice shave today ending in a dolphin smooth finish with two and one-half passes, angles adjusted for my growth. KMF provided the creamy slickness needed to keep my face well protected as well as a nice post shave feel which was further enhanced by the freezing effect of my Glacial Lemon Chill balm which also smells lovely.
