Beautiful razor. :happy088: But I wonder: What is that black rubber thingy good for? I have seen something like that on quite a few blades. Does it improve the grip?

It would only stop rolling when the label was upside down... it's a cool twig though.

image.jpeg Razor: Dubl Duck Goldedge 5/8 Round point 1947-52
Gillette Goodwill #162 1934 (4 corner positioning posts)
    Brush: e-shave finest Badger
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Jack Black cream
    Blade: Feather (3)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice Lime original Shulton cologne Frosted Glass 1960s

A nice shave with the Dubl Duck Goldedge. I don't shave with a st8 a lot, but it is always a pleasure. It takes me more time, and I still finish with a DE, but what a joy to use this beautiful razor. I stropped it for 30 laps on my bench strop, after shaving with it the last time, and gave it 10 more before today's shave. It popped hair off my arm so my stropping was good, woo! Lathered up the Jack and off we go. Wow, very sharp and smooth, I like the round point a lot. Very light pressure and no pull or drag. Getting better and a little closer doing most of my face using both hands and adjusting my angles. finished with my Goodwill and only needed 1/2 pass. So my stropping technique is good, which makes me glad, as I didn't hurt the edge. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel. After cleanup some Old Spice Lime original Shulton cologne. Great shave, and I love this Duck! Y'all have a great day!

    Another late shave today.

    Personna razor
    Plissoft brush
    Kai blade
    TOBS
    L'Oreal Balm

At first I thought the razor wasn't cutting anything. Played around with the angle, couldn't seem to get it to cut. When I got to my chin,I could hear it was cutting and had been all along. Overall I'm pretty impressed with this razor. Near BBS, comfortable, can't ask for more. It is a very light razor being that the handle is aluminum. I like it. Hope everyone has a great weekend and a great shave. Cheers.
