So second shave with beauty. Friday was the first but it wasn't a great shave. I had to use 2 blades to finish it up. Today I thought I'd use a brand new personna. The razor to me is aggressive. It felt the same as it did on Friday. I had to change the technique at times because I felt the blade scrape at certain times. The first pass was good. It probably was due to the preshave oil. Second pass was where I could feel the aggressive nature of the razor. The razor feels great in my hand. I had weepers and a couple of nicks. I chased the baby and paid for it. A/S stung something fierce!

I noticed that due to my recent surge in acquisitions, that my technique has paid the price. Too many new razors and not enough focus. Which ends this week. Wife has put her foot down and lol and I have been warned.. So I will be entering the 30 day focus thread. I need to refocus!!

Ps I'm smooth as silk!

You mentioned the first pass was good possibly due to the pre shave oil? Maybe you should re-apply before each pass?

Sundays shave. One of the weirdest shaves ever.

When I started today's shave with a new to me Star 1912 it was so painful. No mater what angle I used the blade just felt so sharp on my face. It was very uncomfortable. Then after 5 or 6 painful strokes of the razor everything instantly changed. Suddenly I was having one of the most comfortable and close shaves I have ever had. Strange but good.
