Had a 2005 Electra Glide Classic. Had to sell it. Couldn't ride anymore. Dr.'s orders. Damn it! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I think that I heard the George Burns had a Dr that told him to stop smoking, it will kill you. Know what he did? He out lived four Dr's.
I started riding bikes when I was 16 ... my first 2 were Yamahas, then I got this one: BMW R80 G/S - picture was taken minutes before a trip to Switzerland and France. Didn't have a bike for the last 10 years - I really should get one again
R80 G/S ... used to be one of my dream bikes! Together with the R65LS. For various reasons, I got neither one. I seem to be destined for Honda bikes instead Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Fractured my femur into 3pieces on one. Then got hit by a car and gave it up. Tried to talk my friend out of buying one three months ago. He's still in the hospital. So, no.
I can't hit 'like', but I hope you got through fine! Hope your friend will be OK soon as well! (prayers sent)
Man I hate to hear that. I just ride like everyone is trying to kill me, because it seems like they are. It's a dangerous hobby for sure.
I can understand that. A little over 2 months ago I had a guy who decided to turn left directly in front of me. ICU for 2 days, broken skull, bleeding on the brain, both arms almost useless due to tearing muscles, etc. BTW - my 2006 Goldwing was totaled and it only had 58K miles on it. That's the same way I have always ridden. I always assume that every single car on the road is determined to kill me.
This is why I stopped riding in 1995. A car swerved to miss hitting a dog and didn't see me and hit me head on. I was fortunate it was on a slower neighborhood street. A broken leg and 3 ribs later, I said no more. I miss riding, but I also love walking. Hoping your friend recovers.
I miss riding. I haven't had a bike since highschool. I've been looking at getting one again but I like little bikes so it is a challenge to find one I like. the Yamaha SR400 is in the lead for my affections now. I think it looks a lot like a Triumph Bonneville but smaller. Its less than half the engine size of a Bonneville at only 400cc. Here is a comparison between the 2016 SR400 and a 1969 Bonneville.
Been a long time since I've ridden in the street. My last street bike about 12 years ago. RZ350. Should have held on to it. I do still have a KTM and raced Hare Scrambles up until a few years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Before I bought that S83, I was seriously looking at a Moto Guzzi V7...but at my age, I doubt I could ride it the same distance I ride my Suzuki.
Come on you guys get back on those motorcycles what do you think Evel Knievel stopped riding after his first accident come on. Just follow my golden rules. 1.... ride like you're invisible 2... always leave yourself an out 3... you can ride fast but never in a hurry. 4... always anticipate the other guy doing the wrong thing. Now get out there and ride
