Entirely different animal. The Super Max I assume are decent blades, though I've never tried them. Thanks to you, I now am shaking with BAD until I get over and order some. The one I'm talking about (and @DDuckyMark ) is a Czech product. And three hole design so won't fit anything else. Ok, on my way to get some Super Max Tigers.

 

Here's a picture of the actual blade. Well, one like it. I found this image on the net to help out. The image I use is a different blade. This one is old style carbon, three holes, would be deadly if it would cut anything.

 

I have 4 tucks of the super max tiger.... never got around to trying them.... I haven't shaved today so I will pop one into the old type and let you know how they are.

 

Sweet. I now have a couple on the way. Lol. Along with a few others I needed anyway.

Quick google search says they are made in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Loaded it into the old type and tested it on some arm hair and it felt dull and tuggy... doesn't look like it took much hair off if any at all.... this shave should be fun...

 

They are listed as NOS on tryablade.com which would not surprise me. Vidyut Metallics made them originally and were bought out by Super Max. Super Max is somewhat of a Gillette clone in that they are pushing very hard to cart systems within the European and third world market.

 

Just keep your mouse on the cancel order button in case they fillet me... I'll try to warn you before I bleed out if you need to avoid them like the plague..

 

I can see issues on the bevel of that blade without zooming. That's bad.

 

Oddly enough, I'm rooting for the Durham Duplex. We're talking about a razor for which the only currently available blades are either pathology blades or carpet cutting blades.

 

Yes, yes it is.

 

Personna makes a blade for it, though I'm not sure that it's really specific for the razor. Just fits it, but it's better than the carpet cutters.

 

How many of those blades do you have? I think I may want to get my hands on one too see how bad they are...

 

I only have one left. tryablade.com has them.

 

I think that's the pathology blade, though I believe I've also seen Persona-branded carpet blades.

 

I'll have to pick up one for my final MAYhem shave... full head and face shave...3 passes....only ATG....sounds good.
