Well, I don't have a bulldog, but the iPhone focused on my rat terrier in this shot. A brigham 2-dot with Drew Estate Harvest on the Hudson.
Half through... I folded and stuffed this bowl. OGS is more intensely raisin when stuffed versus fully rubbed out.
I think you've convinced me to try a Brigham sometime this year. My next pipe was gonna be another Stanwell Army Mount, but I am intrigued by Rock Maple.
Yeah, me too. I've been contemplating saving for a higher end Novak, but I'm like you Chris. That rock maple seems to be calling my name also.
No pic, but tonight it's OGS in a Chacom Lumberman. Edit: used the air pocket method, loading the bowl by rolling pipe over some rubbed out OGS.
So true, Tony! This thread is cool like that, I see stuff I would never think to try. FYI... I'll be in Vestavia Hills in July. My brother and his wife are having a baby girl soon. Briary? I may need some cigars.
P&C has a good price on them currently, but they don't carry the rock maple filters. The first three lines (Voyageur, Algonquin and Mountaineer) have vulcanite stems, which steered me away from the Voyageur even though I like the looks of the pipe. The Chinook is sandblasted, but I would prefer a more natural finish.
I just placed an order with 4noggins. Smokingpipes.com also has them but 4noggins has much better shipping prices for small orders. Since a Rock Maple Insert should last 20-40 bowls, two packs should last me a while.
Shoot yeah, when you get here and if you have a chance (family comes first!), I'd love to meet you at The Briary. It's maybe 15 or 20 minutes, depending on exactly where they are in Vestavia Hills. Does your brother like pipes and/or cigars?
I am definitely gonna plan an hour or three at the Briary. We can smoke there, correct? And my Bro doesn't really smoke, just tradition.
