    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 Injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: VDH Luxury scented
Post: Witch hazel splash, Renaissance Man Black Amber, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable shave with this combination again today. This is day 3 of this brush and soap combo. The large Omega brush has been quite adept at whipping up some great VDH lather. I was disappointed with the lathers last week but have been thrilled with this week's suds. This brush is great for this soap.

The G1 is easy to use, maneuverable, and provides great shaves. I have really enjoyed using it the majority of this month.

Hope you all have a great day!

    Thanks, my friend...

So did that ER 1912 sing in the Vienna Boys Choir after that? :happy102:
I jest....but in all fairness....I respect and hold the whole "1912 safety" genre in high esteem....

Yeah....August Scheuber knew a thing or two about razor design....I don't see where this design needs much tweaking....:happy069:

Been too busy lately to post, however, I've been using the PAL adjustable for the last week and have been one smooth operator:)

    Today's Shave: Thursday May 19, 2016

    Rocnel w/Maggard MR3 handle
    1/2 Feather Hi-Stainless DE blade (1)
    The Grooming Co. synthetic brush
    LA Shaving Soap Co. Blackfern
    Alpa Fougere cologne/aftershave

I've discovered The One - that perfect combination of razor and blade. For me, anyway - YMMV. I've enjoyed my shaves the last couple of days with the Rocnel/Personna blade combos, but the Feather blade takes it to the Next Level. BBS, dolphin smooth, (insert your favorite shaving superlative here), this was simply an awesome shave.

I also fitted a Maggard Razors MR3 handle to the Rocnel, as I have a penchant for short, chunky bulldog style handles, and this combo feels great in the hand. However, it's definitely on the heavy side, weighing in at 5.65 oz (160 gm). Heavy or not, I cannot argue with the results.

I love my 1912 Gem Cutlery & Co Damaskeene razor. Seeing your new razor has inspired me to use mine tonight.
Razor-1912 Gem Cutlery & Co. Damaskeene with NOS Gem Duridium blade (3)
    Lather- TOBS Grapefruit shave cream.
Brush- Vintage NOS Made Rite Pure Badger.
    Post- OSMA Alum
Aftershave- Genuine Ogallala Bay Rum Limne and Peppercorn.
3 Pass shave and Ultra Smooth finish just love this razor. The old stropping blades make it a completely different razor than with the modern Gem blades.

    Tonights shave.
    Razor: Bunny with WILD Comb
    Blade: Chick (3)
Soap: WSP Rustic Shaving Soap Lavenderwood
    Brush: JR#57
    Post Shave: Osma Alum Block
    AS: AV Classic Ice Blue

I have not shaved with an injector for several weeks. It has been even longer for The Bunny. So I busted out my favorite tools and software.

The WSP is super slick and smells great. The JR#57 made short work of Face lathering. Using my Bunny with the Wild comb made short work of everything. I had a DFS after 2 passes. So my third pass using a feather touch and short buffing strokes everywhere gave me a BBS everywhere. Using the Osma to see how the shave went. I was not disappointed. there was no sting just smooth as silk. I rinsed off and applied the AS. A very nice cool feeling.

I love using all SE razors that I have. That being said, my best by far shaves are with the injector. For me it is my Bunny at the top of that list. But that is just me, I might be a little biased :angelic007:.

Anyhow those who do nt try SE's are missing out on something fantastic.

Have a great night and tomorrow.

    @Bird Lives

If you want I have an extra Gem Automatic Stropper you can use. I will whip up a strop for it. Believe me when I say it would be my pleasure to do this for you. Shoot me a PM with your address and I can get it out on Saturday.

Wow! What a thoughtful gesture....:happy096:....You are a gentleman aswell as a Scholar....I'll be in touch... I might be in and out of town....I'll PM you next week....Thanks Tom....

These blades are not NOS....but several don't show signs of rust.....Do you guys think I should pursue stropping them into shape....or is that usually reserved for NOS? I even thought of, at a later date, sending a couple off to be whipped into shave ready state by a pro.....What do you guys think?

The schedule tomorrow may not allow a shave so the Hussy answered the call this morning. Everytime I shave with this Schick Type H I am in awe of how smooth yet aggressive it is. It won a recent shave-off with one of my PAL Injecto Matics and it didn't disappoint this morning. I'm guaranteed to still look presentable at lunch tomorrow. Smooth, smooth, smooth. :happy036:

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 Injector
    Brush: Semogue 1520 boar
    Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Osage Rub, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Fat Friday! Mitchell's Wool Fat never disappoints and today was no exception. The G1 provided an excellent shave yet again. I was up a little earlier than normal and therefore had time to do two full passes. I'm pretty darn smooth. It's amazing how close an injector can shave. I went in for a tiny bit of touch-up on my lower neck in a pesky spot and probably should've left it alone. There is a tiny bit of irritation there. It should clear up pretty soon though.

I mixed in some Osage Rub with my witch hazel. The burn quickly wore off into a nice menthol finish. All in all an enjoyable shave.

Hope you all have a great Friday!

Those look Fine in Terms of Condition..I have some of these particular blades & I found them Harder to Work On than Later Stropping Blades..I only Use 0.5 Micron Lapping Film or Equivalent in Pastes..1 Micron Lapping Film at Most..Those Blades will Probably Need a Heavier Grit like 3 Micron because they are Different Steel to Later Ones..I Personally just stick to the Later Ones..But that Just Me Talkin..:)

    Pinaud Clubman

The Taylor of Old Bond Street Lavender Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #18 silvertip badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Luxor Pro with Voskhod blade (two nicks) and the Eversharp-Schick G1 razor with a Schick Injector blade (flawless performance) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Today's Shave: Friday May 20, 2016

Rocnel w/custom CBW red cedar handle
    1/2 Feather Hi-Stainless DE blade (2)
    The Grooming Co. synthetic brush
Chiseled Face Groomatorium Sherlock soap & aftershave

This handle weighs almost nothing and brings the total weight of the Rocnel down to 2.7 oz (76 gm) and of course decidedly balanced toward the head. It feels quick and agile in the hand. The shave with the Feather blade was just like yesterday's, which is to say pretty darn good.

The Rocnel has provided some memorable shaves, but now it is the weekend and time for a wedge or two. :happy088:
