Sorry for the late reply First of all - I think my nose is broken, 'cause I never seem to pick up the same scents as others. Arlington gave me a flashback to 6 year old me picking wild flowers/ferns. A sweet, "juicy" and green scent for the summer. Apparently it's a "citrus aromatic" scent, but I didn't pick up any citrus from it. On Fragrantica, one guy describes the Arlington cologne as a "tooty-fruity lemon drop" hahaha!
This came yesterday: - Edwin Jagger XL Synthetic brush (Silvertip Fibre) - Proraso (Omega) Boar brush - Strop paste - a tube of La Toja Cream (that thing is huge, should be enough for the rest of this decade) I still have to decide which of the brushes I will use for today's shave
Wow. That Edwin Jagger brush must be quite big if it's almost the same size as the huge and wonderful proraso boar brush. I would love to hear your opinion on the Jagger brush.
TSD Iced Lime shave soap and LuxorPro shavette. I am currently using up my TOBS Lavender. As soon as that is gone, I will be the Iced Lime like white on rice. I am looking forward to it.
Why I am on the couch this month, exibits I, J, and K. Geo. W. Korn The Real- American made kamisori style razor. It has a safety guard, that I will get next week. Henry Sears & Sons Queen 3/4, "shave ready" Shumate Cutlery Co from St. Louis, MO. Smiling Tungsteel
The guy that honed this one is well thought of, but I've had two of his razors recently, and they just weren't smooth. I'm going to touch this one up before I use it. I also don't think the finish stone he uses is compatable with my face.
My wife said if these posts get past exibit Z, I'm moving into the garden shed. I heard her loud and clear. I can only buy 15 more things this month.
That's what I hear as well maybe make exhibit Y an air conditioner and Z a sofa for the shed and you'll be good
@Drygulch My wife said, "if these posts get past exibit Z, I'm moving into the garden shed." hmmm... guess it depends on where one puts the quotes as to how bad the situation is.
It is quite big - and that's the reason why I returned it today. The handle didn't feel very comfortable and I did not like the size ... yes, I know I ordered the XL version, but I did not expect it to be that huge I thought it would just be a little bit larger than my Mühle STF 23mm. Here's a size comparison: From left to right: Simpson Commodore X2, Mühle STF 23mm, EJ XL 25mm, Jayaruh #58 The Jayaruh brush looks taller, but the knot is much smaller and more manageable for a face latherer
