No. So I have one and a half votes for the Kai, and one and a half for the Dorco. Hmm. Probably will go with the Kai, just because I have used it in the pain stick, and it is one I am familiar with.
That's about how my face felt after that shave this morning. OH, which reminds me.....tomorrow's setup.. Back in a sec.
Unbelievable. The shaving gods must be angry in spite of my many sacrifices this month. Here is the @Keithmax second round shave for tomorrow....which will follow my pain stick head shave..... Blade - Baili Blue.....which means.......the Blendax. Razor - '59 Ball End Tech Soap - Williams Brush - Tweezerman So the Blendax gets its third shave, two in a row, and after today's absolute horror show. Well, today was my most aggressive DE razor, tomorrow a mild one. Will it make a difference?! Williams.....first time this month as the Marvy has been too good of a choice for the gods. But, they won't let me finish without the mosquito repellant. Not a good choice, but hey, better than Marvy. Brush - Tweezerman. El Cheapo again. Ok @Rufus T. it's your pick again for Tuesday. 1-15 for blade, 1-15 for razor, 1-6 for soap, 1-7 for brush. I'll be in the corner curled up trying to find my happy place while I wait.
Oh by the way... to please the cartel and all you sick individuals I am only posting my head shaves on here until the end of the month or unless I have a really bad face shave. Sadly I am getting good with the pain stick on the face as well as the Old Type (I know boring) so unless things go really bad I will just be posting my scalp butchering sessions.
Well I can only hope my 2nd round on this can provide as comfortable a shave as my 1st did - sounds like your face could use a break. 2-6-5-2 Good luck!
I have a 2nd day on the sharp then i'm trying a boxcutter blade in a gem micromatic bullet tip. then a cut down dorco in an injector. calling all fergiefeather users. how do you cut these things safely?
Annnnnnd....the fun continues. @Rufus T. drew a WILDCARD!!!!! Why not, right? So here are the five options left....... Rabbit Straight Gold Dollar 800 Tiger/Soyuz 1 Durham Duplex Feather SS/Kamisori blade So, please @Rufus T. .....choose a number between 1 and 5 and random.org and the shaving gods will do the rest!
Sunday Shower/Shave Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap Brush- RazoRock Tri-Colored Razor- Muhle R41 on a Maggard MR5 handle Blade- Personna Blue (2) Soap- Route 66 Barbershop HOP with M-Bomb Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO and M-Bomb AS- Florida Water with M-Bomb Another great shave by the Personna Blue. It made my choice for top blade of the month much more difficult. This Route 66 soap is fantastic; great lather, scent and protection. Plus I absolutely love the scent. I added a bunch of M-Bomb to everything tonight and I was sufficiently frozen. Three passes to a great BBS shave. Have a great day folks!
Do not! Repeat... Do not use scissors! The Feather AC blades are too substantial! Boxcutters? If you don't have one in your toolkit, go to your local hardware store and purchase some hand-cutters for metal. I use heavy duty tin snips. Don't forget the pictures when you shave with those boxcutter blades. (Strolls to popcorn maker...)
So, here's the total lineup for Tuesday courtesy of our friend from the Mighty Northwest Razor - Durham Duplex Blade - Personna for Durham Duplex Soap - Arko Brush - Marvy You know, sometimes people will say "marvy" when asked how they are and it's a shorthand for marvelous. I'm never using that phrase again!
Mighty neighborly, thanks! Here, the butter's on me! (Hmmm, glad I wrote that out...doesn't sound all that appealing when it's spoken out loud.)
