    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: GEM Stainless PTFE
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
Brush: Artisan badger with hand-turned maple handle
Lather: Maggard's Orange Menthol shaving soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, Maggard's Orange Menthol, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Woke up a little earlier than normal and therefore had more time to shave! Went with a full two pass shave and it was a good one. The Maggard's products are great. I was impressed with the quality of the soap and the moisturizing aspects of the after shave. The scent is really nice - not sweet or fake orange smell - more like orange rind and zest. Really nice.

The GEM Featherweight and PTFE blade were fantastic again today. I had almost 48 hours of beard growth and it mowed right through all of it in a smooth, comfortable fashion. Really enjoyable and fun razor.

I hope you all have a great Monday!

My good friend Ray sure knows his soaps because it was he who inspired me to buy the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap. That stuff froze me out so good - in fact as soon as I lathered up I had tearing eyes for a good part of the shave. The same thing happened when I put on the Arctique aftershave. I can still feel a strong cooling effect from it. My Menthol Monkey Monday Shave was BBS and so enjoyable! :happy088: :happy088:

Good morning friends. Wonderful menthol Monday shave today with my lovely Stirling Glacial Mita soap. [IMG] Three passes with the R41 dolphin smooth, easy as pie. I decided to use pre shave oil today again, I'm undecided, further experimentation is needed. [IMG] Have a great day! [IMG]

This morning shave was an easy shave. I used my Schick Type G, Semogue and Haslinger Schafmilch. A near perfect combination. No irritation...just smooth sailing. DFS for certain.

    Pre: Proraso white preshave cream
    Razor: Schick Type G
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
Post: Witch Hazel / RB Balm (Rusty Blade Balm) / Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel

This Semogue 1305 has to be one of my favourite boar brushes. When it is dry it feels like you could scrub a floor with it, but once it soaks in a mug of warm water while I shower, it softens up nicely. An absolute pleasure to use. I realize I don't have much of a system for using my brushes...I just tend to decide at the moment of picking up my soap and razor to go into the bathroom. And oddly enough, while I used a boar this morning, I have been selecting badger brushes more lately.
The RB Balm performed very well. It is not as thick as my previous 50/50 blend...but it is very slick.:chores016:

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea Face Wash
    Brush: Omega 11575 boar
    Lather: Stirling Glacial Obsidian
Razor: 1st Quarter 1971 Gillette Black Handle SS
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash

I left the brush wetter than usual, and loaded twice as long. The result was pretty good stable lather from the Stirling, which is getting close to done. The last Bic I used was apparently somehow not-to-spec, as it caused relatively consistent problems. This morning's Bic was back to their usual standards, with the single minor weeper caused by letting the corner of the blade dip lower on my throat than I had lathered up. I'd call these results a DFS.
