On the last day of a two-week business / pleasure trip.
    Alternating between two Schick razors:
    C1 (Personna *74)
    H2 (FergieFeather)

Nearly 40 years ago my folks retired to a rustic beach house on a quiet island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

One of my favorite aspects is their outdoor shower where I also shave when visiting.

2-day growth (I'm on island time) 2-pass shave (XTG, ATG)
Razor: 1947-53 H2: The Deb Fashion Razor
Blade: FergieFeather (3) (Feather AC Pro blade cut to fit injectors)
    Soap: Stirling "Island Man"
    Brush: Rubberset 300N 'Plastiset' Nylon
    TSD Witch Hazel
    AS: Stirling "Island Man"

    Another excellent travel shave!
This little gal knows her way around a guy's face. The fingertip control provided by the nubby razor allows precise control of angle and pressure allowing the sharp Feather a smooth, slicing path through any growth. With focused and precise strokes the need for touch up and buffing is minimal but very smooth where needed.

Both razor / blade combos will become part of my regular travel gear.

    Cheers!

  4. Herm, does that take the same blades as the Schick G type I have coming in?
  5. That's a great description RT.

  6. (Sorry to jump in on Herm....)

Jim, your G will take any 'single blade' injector blade - as opposed to an injector blade that is a 'twin blade' (two blades pressed onto one blade, not to be confused with the modern cartridge.)

One of the most common, present day injector blades are Schick blades made in China - commonly referred to on this thread as a"Chick" blade - and the very blade Herm used with the Schick B.

Amazon has them as does Walgreens online.

  7. Thanks Rufus. That's great to know. I think I'm going to look around for a B model. Common blades makes the purchase easier for me.

Well, more like a cool water shave. The Florida water doesn't get very cold out of the tap. May have to try some ice.

Another travel shave. Brought the Rapira Chrome SS and the Store Bought Israel blades with me. And brought the Rocnel SE and my PreWar Tech along with me as well. This shave was excellent. BBS everywhere including the neck with no irritation.
I think these store bought blades gave the best shave I've had with the Rocnel. Super BBS and no irritation whatsoever.
(Shave occurred late last night by the way)
    Have a great day everyone!

    Cold water 3.gif

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Chinese Schick (5)
    Razor: Schick G1 Injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: VDH Luxury
Post: Witch hazel splash, Fred's Old Spice knock-off, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Smooth, comfortable shave with the G1 injector. The VDH whipped up into beautiful, protective, cushioning lather. I struggled with the lathers earlier this month but have found a ticket with the big boar brush and lots and lots of added water. This soap is really good and very inexpensive!

As you all know if you've been reading this month the G1 Injector is rising higher and higher in my estimation. It may become my daily workday razor. I get a smooth shave with fewer passes than a DE. It's a great little razor and I've tremendously enjoyed improving on the technique with it over this month.

Hope you all have a good Tuesday!

  14. Speaking of which, didn't you bring the Lady Eversharp on your trip?

I liked your "Before" pic below and have been waiting ever since for the "After" photo.
(I mean, do you actually go out in public with those?)

PS - I have a Type H on its way so I'll be in fashion!

    Today's Shave: Tuesday May 24, 2016

    Cobra Classic
    Feather AC Pro blade (4)
    Plisson synthetic brush
WSP Rustic Shaving Soap Gaelic Tweed
    WSP Gaelic Tweed aftershave

People generally consider the Cobra Classic to be pretty aggressive, but coming off three days of wedge blade razors, it felt like a pussycat. Great shave, though.
