Just beautiful.

 

As one of the many winners in the PIF by @rmcintyre84 i received this awesome treasure trove of shaving wonder:

1. 1968 Gillette Knack (N2) - I've always wondered about this razor, it doesn't seem to get much praise or ridicule. I'm anxious to try it out.
2. A nickel plated Gillette blade bank - shiny and perfect!
3. Razor blades ingeniously packed into a miniature storage "tote":
   • Dorco New Platinum - never used before
   • Sharp Durablade - never used
   • Shark Super Stainless - never used
   • Treet Platinum - never used
   • Super Max Super Stainless Blue - never used
   • Voskod - always wanted to try these, they receive much praise here on TSD
   • Astra SP - 5 of my "go to blades"
   • Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow Sharp Edge - I've used these and they are truly sharp! But my technique is better so I'm glad to revisit them
   • Gillette 7 O'Clock Green Super Stainless - I've used these and they always struck me as a mild, comfortable blade
   • Gillette 7 O'Clock Black Super Platinum - I've used these, but don't remember them. I'm anxious to try them again.
   • Gillette Silver Blues - never used these, but I've heard great praise here on TSD

BANDIT!!!....Oh Please Share your thoughts!

 

I shaved with is today as a matter of fact. The scent is the best one from Dr. Jon IMO. It has a fresh citrus- ozone type of scent, I think the Patchouli and whiskey hold the scent in (but does not smell like patchouli at all) and give it some depth. Reminds me a bit of GFT in a good way, not a strong scent, but nicely put together.

 

Throw on a Tie-Dye T-shirt or put on some Grateful Dead music and the Patchouli smell is guaranteed to intensify...........

 

Lol that's like Gingers Garden- Haight Ashbury, it has a stronG patchouli scent, but other notes make it an incredible scent. It does have a hippy vibe to it for sure.

 

Well the Tabac will definitely protect you. Just don't be stingy with the water, it likes to be well hydrated

Citrus-Ozone? I would have never expected that..based on the scent description. Thanks for the feedback and quick response. I wonder if the aftershave brings out the other notes when combined.

 

These two arrived today. Both are completely full and have never been used. The bottles still have the little plastic stoppers in them.

Roby, if you've never tried a Gem, you're in for a treat. The push button is on my wish list and I have a G bar in the rotation. Gems are, well, real gems.

 

I have a 1912 but I had really been looking to branch out. This is wonderful!
