If this shave would have been any colder my face would have fallen off. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap's menthol effect is sooooooooooooo potent that it takes hold as soon as your brush makes contact with your face while getting stronger and stronger with each pass. The lather is so rich, easy to work up, and it has the delightful Sharp Dressed Man scent. The Diana balm is another menthol delight and the Arctique aftershave must be applied very sparingly to avoid a "freezer-burn" sensation - yes, that's how strong it is. It felt great to use my Super Speed, and with the help of a new Astra blade it cleaned me up absolutely BBS! A happy Memorial Day to all!
05/30/2016 Cobra Classic Kai Mild (1) BSB-2 with Vie-Long 2 Band Route 66 Frozen Margarita Witch Hazel Route 66 Frozen Margarita Aftershave Balm A great shave this morning. The Route 66 Frozen Margarita soap brings a smile to my face each time I use it. The scent is fantastic and the performance is top notch. The BSB-2 whipped up a mountain of rich slick lather providing a nice cooling base for the Cobra. Even with a Kai Mild, the Cobra is very efficient and will bite if my attention wanders. Two passes with minor touch ups ended in a near BBS. Finished off the shave with the matching Frozen Margarita AS balm. I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day. Memorial Day Shave Prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(RELAX) Shave-Barbasol orginal(nice touch, as the red&white pole signifies Mem. Day. I don't mean to compliment myself, but I did that anyway-chuk yuk) Razor-Gillette Sensor 2 Pivot + DisposeABLE A.S.-Wind Drift by English Leather(via MEM) I'm anxious to see how the Wind Drift handles hot, humid weather. The humidity isn't here just yet, but it's "around the far turn"
This setup I used today is off the charts when it comes to menthol freeze - most guys I know would have trouble handling it, but with care and determination it can be done and sooner or later a GREAT love for it will develop!
@crackstar , you're succeeding in talking me into trying a Stoylin' freezer for next summer. I have too many aftershaves in my arsenal now for THIS summer, but I now have a goal for NEXT summer.

May 31/2016 Memorial Day Razor: Gem SE Blade: Gem SE (3) Cream: Italian Barber Brush: The Horse With No Name (again) Pre Shave: Homemade AS: Gillette Gel/Brut Splash On Newspaper Date: Nov. 7,1943 Another fantastic shave with an SE, unbelievable, there is a little irritation on my upper lip, but that goes away shortly. 1st pass, ATG, stunningly smooth everywhere. A little on the loud side, but I`m hearing impaired anyway. 2nd pass WTG, and again smooth sailing all the way. Right now I`m about an hour out from the shave, and I feel nothing but a BBS. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Platinum in the Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Ghost Town Barber. Bob
