Remembering that freedom isn't free, and that many gave everything, I salute them all. My dad was 101st Airborne and dropped in from time to time all over Europe in WWII. Thinking of him on days like today I remember watching him with fascination as he went through his daily shaving ritual. So in his memory, and for all of our band of brothers, I salute your sacrifices. God bless you all, and thanks Dad! Nice shave today, and my Dad loved grapefruit and Old Spice! My Mom was in the Army-Aircore and just turned 91! Thank you Mom for keeping us free.

Thanks! The Colt is a polished stainless Officers model from 1985. My gunsmith totally worked it over, full guide rod, hand checkered front and back, and a 3.5 oz trigger pull. Oh yea, laser sights. I've had it since new, and it goes where I go.

I needed something that would mow down 2 days if growth. The R41 with a feather blade proved to be the perfect for the job. I had a wonderfully comfortable shave that left me feeling super smooth. A fine way to start the week.

Mid-morning holiday shave today with a vintage 'Pipe' razor from Geo Wostenholm & Son. Smooth & 'noisy' 'extra-hollow' blade is a dream to use, although the über-thin bone scales feel 'smallish' in my large hands. The Stirling 'Coniferous' soap is strong in menthol and provides great 'face-freeze'—terrific on a hot day such as today. Wm Neumann balm to finish a super shave!
