Im a BIG fan of SV, and the 70th is by far my favorite scent I own...those soaps are just amazing

Barrister and Mann "42" soap and splash
Mickey Lee "La Belle Du Sud" soap
Stirling "Glacial Lemon" balm

St James of London "Cedarwood and Clarysage" cream

1 tuck of 7 O'Clock yellows

 

In a 'soft AD phase', Sir? Nice haul. My only other B&M glissant reference is the Roam from the Reddit release not too long ago, but the 42 somehow seems to give an even better lather. The scent is a lot more flowery than I usually go for, but it really has grown on me. Hadn't seen the MLS one before.

Yeah the flowery scent of 42 is different but nice. The mickey Lee is a very sweet peach smell, very pleasant.

I am having to take a few weeks long sabbatical, at least until adagio comes out. SWMBO is starting to get a little exasperated.

That St. James scent is one of my favorites. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the sapone di paolo. I had and enjoyed that MLS soap. Nice Haul Tim.

 

This picture pretty much contains the shave soaps I'll be using for the next couple weeks. I'll let you know how I like them buddy.

Not the wildest haul here But received some long researched glass bottles and jars today. Brown glass with build-in dropper in the bottles. Perfect for my home made splashes, deodorants and such. The jar is 120ml and the bottles are 100ml. Seems like an ideal size, not too big on the shelf, yet not in need of a constant refill.

 

Well, unless there is a package I wasn't expecting sitting at home, I think I will make it through the month without going past Exhibit X. Considering the (mostly) idle threats of SWMBO if I got to exhibit Z, that is a relief.

 

Do you get to reset back to exhibit A tomorrow?

Stubble Trubble Summer Passion

 

Busy day here in the boot heel of Louisiana. U.S.P.S. delivered a box full of straight up super stuff from the PIF from Perry @PLAla .
I was dressed and heading out the door to fill out an application for the local Masonite Door manufacturer when I saw the mail carrier's truck. He was walking the route, so I patiently waited for him to reach my house. Only envelopes? I asked, he said the box was in his truck - too big to carry. So then I impatiently waited for him to finish the street, and met him at the curb!
Adam @Drygulch , you do beautiful work! The "practice" strop is so much better than the one I've been using. The other is amazing! I haven't yet used a woven canvas side to a strop. I have some reading to do so that I can make the best of these two great pieces.
The three razors arrived in a well built 4 razor pouch that will carry any of my straights should I travel. Soon as I finish my Bunny trial, The GoldBug will get a serious stropping and a test shave!
So after viewing the wonderful prizes, I went on to my prospective employer to see if We wanted each other. Like so many companies with 100+ employees, the HR department received my application, and will call back for an interview.
Time to head back home, but I'm prone to wandering, so I stopped at a flea market to see if they had any new stock. Yes, yes they did.

Though it's empty, the ghost of scent and the ship makes me think this is OldSpice gear. Did they sell a full sized flask? There is no label on the bottom, but it will be the new home of my AS, currently residing in a plastic bottle.
Then the lady mentioned she had a mug and an old brush. The mug was nothing special. A Col. Conk current issue piece. Not very interested since the glycerine based soap isn't that impressive. The "old brush" on the other hand!

This is the reason I visit flea markets! It's a no number model. The twist off section is going to take a bit of cleaning to loosen. Have to change the knot as the bristles are fried and falling out. But the handle has a beautiful patina. Not going to polish it, just clean up and be happy showing it's age.

Used it today!

 

USPS came today with these for me.
1.Fatboy which is pretty grimy. The numbers are nice and dark as well as the black ring.
2.Chrisy razor with its box. I read on here that an injector blade fits. I won a PIF thanks to @Mr. Freeze93 and he will be sending me some injector blades. I'll try it out.
3. Old type Oc and it's grimy as well.
They are currently soaking hopefully they clean up well.

 

You are in full-on SAD mode my friend. Lots of new stuff for you to enjoy.

 

I know....... I've fallen into the rabbit hole

 

Nice find on the brush man. I found mine in the wild too, very satisfying feeling.
