Supposedly the top cap and handle are made of solid steel. The bottom plate is brass. The razor was manufactured in Brooklyn, NY during the 1930's. They also made a 'Wizard' blade sharpener/stropper that took the same handle. The handle is compatible with other three-piece Gillette designs.
Less than I thought I was expecting. Seller refunded my payment on a Gillette OC, Valet, and Schick G type lot auction. It was a cheap auction, and I was only really interested in the Schick. ( have one already, but was looking for one to give to a friend) Mildly curious about the Valet. Anyway, he stated health problems were preventing him from completing the transaction. Not really bummed. One Avon Whale caddy should be waiting for me at the the post office, though.
I thought it was a little lower in price than I've seen many go for, so I went for it. Did I get a good price in everyone's opinion? (Assuming it is in working condition with slight wear on the finish) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was eyeballing it, but the bank account poked me in the eyes and said nope. Congrats on the score Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Oh boy! I just noticed that some Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet shaving cream (glass jar with silver plated lid) from my watch list had dropped to less than half price, so....
Last Day over at WCS for 40% off certain items so I picked up two leather razor cases for my King Cobra and one for my Rhodium Toggle. Finally got around to picking up another puck of my favorite Ogallala shave soap Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes and Peppercorns. Been over a year since finished off the previous puck and would be a nice addition for the summer ahead. For the King Cobra For my Rhodium Toggle Favorite Ogallala shave soap and aftershave
