    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160602_181228.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real orange amber
    Razor: Gillette Old Type OC

    Blade: GSB (4th shave)
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Fine L'Orange Noir
    Aftershave: Fine Orange Noir
    Balm: Reef Point Intrepid Balm

2 pass shave today. The Fine soap whipped up a lather reminiscent of I Coloniali and Captains Choice, in that the lather was more sticky than bubbly, which is a good thing IMO. Same great scent as the AS and I was impressed with the soaps performance, so far so good. Hope everyone had a great shave!

I didn't have a problem with it while shaving. It just looked big at first glance. I may try a heavier handle after a few shaves. Thanks for your input when I was trying to choice a Mongoose. It helps when you can bounce things off others. :happy088:

    Shave-Rise Super Foam***
    Razor-Gillette Sensor 2 Pivot + DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Rise Aftershave Cooling Balm

***-while I love the Super Foam, and still have maybe 5, 6 to go in my order, I'm not above doing an order for that 8.7 oz, with the blue lettering of "Super Foam", if I like what's in it. That would make me, as the saying goes, "set for life".

Tonsorial Parlour is the only Catie's Bubbles that I liked well enough to keep. Fascinating scent.

    Jayaruh #70 Silvertip
    Bunny V-3
    Schick Injector
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

This is the 135th documented shave with the TOBS Lavender. Going to use it until it is gone...

The Taylor of Old Bond Street Lavender Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #70 silvertip badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V-3 razor with the WILD comb and a Schick Stainless Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue After Shave. I am clean, very smooth, and refreshed...

Thanks Joesph. Agree with you with CB Tonsorial Parlour and another I liked but my daughter liked it even better and took it from me was Purple Grapefruit.

I had a Rolls Razor blade honed some time ago but set it aside while I got some practice time with my other wedge SEs. It was only the second shave with a Rolls for me. The first one was with a blade that was sharp but not quite shave ready. This one didn't feel a whole lot better. The first pass was tuggy but the second pass was much better, smooth even for a good part of it. The end result was good but not quite BBS. But, no blood so I'm feeling pretty good about it. :happy088:

This shave was okay, not great but not bad. I was shaving with a heavy hand for some reason and it was not the closest I have had, especially compared to the many BBS shaves I've had recently but it's okay. Only a little alum burn and I'm ready to hit the hay. Good night friends!

    June 2

    Razor - CJB Greager
    Blade - [IMG]Soap - Tabac
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
Post - Cold rinse, Alum, The Veg

Day two of the Greager and Dorco. Grorco? Nah, too hard to say. Switched the soap to Tabac today along with the Omega 10066. I want to like Tabac as my number one soap. I really do. And, on days I use it, I think I've made it that. Then I go back to the Fat and have to bow in honor of its lather and feel. Nice to have these two soaps in the number two slots. You can't go wrong. Well, not much anyway. Got the Tabac a little dry to start but added a bit of water in the face lather and it came right to life. That's one if its strengths is the ability to accept water and fine tune in.

Two passes again today with some touchup after, mostly to practice a couple of difficult angles. A bit rough on the neck as the alum proved hot in a few places, but no blood or other problems. I'll take it!

The Veg for the perfect final touch. Almost used the Clubman but thought better of it and stayed with the one, the only, the Mighty.

Hope you all had a great day! Not used to these good shaves and having little to report other than mmmmmmmmmmm GOOD!

Thank you. It is my "funky" brush. It is really hard to tell from my poor pictures, but it is almost like the marbles we played with when we were kids. Little ribbons floating all inside the resin. I bought it from an Etsy shop called FlashyFinWrx .
