So, a while back I stated that I didn't know for sure if I liked cold water shaves. I decided it was time to find out if I was a fan or not. So for the past three weeks that's how I shaved and I'm a fan of cold water shaves. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Tab using Tapatalk
I figured "what the hell" and start cold water shaving as soon as I moved into the new place. I still like hot water shaving but find it unnecessary now that I've gotten used to it. So I reckon I'm a member of the club now, huh? Been nearly a month without anything other than cold water and no real need to go back.

A very pleasurable shave this morning with the FatBoy and my ever so wonderful Tabac shave stick. Three comfortable passes made smooth by the Tabac's cushion and glide for a dolphin smooth finish. Glacial Lemon Chill balm iced and moisturized the finish. Have a great weekend guys.

Absolutely wonderful shave with the Pal this morning, very easy, smooth three passes and I'm dolphin smooth at the finish. Outstanding lather from the Glacial Mita and a muched welcomed refreshing freeze to cool this horrible FL heat. Have a great weekend friends. :smile :
SOTD Sun. 6/5/16 Prep: Burt's Bee's Chamomile & Soap Bark SS: Route 66 Lumberjack SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Schick E2 Blade: Schick ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Pine Tar Cologne: Nautica Voyage Good morning guys. I had such a wonderful shave with my E2 this morning. It's such a fun razor to use with both hands and efficient yet smooth and exacting. Route 66 Lumberjack performed beautifully as always providing more than enough slick cushion for a proper comfortable shave. The Glacial Lemon Chill balm is always a happy ending, oh how it freezes my face and warms my heart. Tomorrow I will be shaving with the N1, I can't seem to get off the injector train......... Have a great day folks. :smile :
I posted this on another thread, but maybe I should have put it here. Well, here it is..................... First of all, I usually don't shave on only 1 day of beard growth because of irritation and tough beard. But I figured that if I want to try a total cold water shave, that's probably the best time to try. This is what I used, Slim Adjustable, Lab Blue blade, my DIY pre-shave oil, my DIY soap, an inexpensive badger brush (ok cheap) and Stetson Black after shave balm. First 2 passes on setting 5 and last pass on setting 3. Gotta be honest, it wasn't good, it was freaking fantastic. No irritation at all and felt great, even with a little pressure on the razor. Looks like I totally converted over to cold water shaving.
SOTD Mon. 6/6/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SS: PAA 1K SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Schick N1 Blade: Schick ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Pine Tar Cologne: Acqua Di Selva by Visconti Di Modrone Good morning my friends. I just had an amazingly wonderful shave with my N1. Close, comfortable, and effortless. Do yourselves a favor and try an N1 please. This PAA 1K soap is a favorite of mine, the anise and licorice smells lovely and the slickness and cushion is top tier. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth result. Have a great day guys. :smile :
I decided to try a cold water shave yesterday afternoon and liked it enough to try it again this morning. Other than the nice warm lather on a cold winter morning, I can't see a reason for hot water. I accomplished a very nice two pass BBS this morning with cold water. seriously considering buying a REAL COLD A.S. next summer-something that makes Aqua Velva sizzle in comparison.
