Colorado is amazing. From my bedroom, I can see the peaks of the front range, 60 miles away. From the ridge a half mile south of my home, I can see the entire range from Pike's Peak (southern terminus, Rampart Range), all the way to the Flatiron Formation, west of Boulder. It covers about 140degrees of the horizon.
That's about a half mile from my home, where the local road meets I76 to go to Denver. Large peak on right is 14,439' (4401m) Mt Elbert, about 60 miles away.
Near me today, not my footage. http://www.9news.com/weather/tornado-touches-down-20-miles-north-of-sterling/223119640
Oh yeah! I just spent the last 3 hours at the airport. My daughter is flying back to Ohio to spend part of the summer with my parents. I'll be spending some time in my pool tomorrow for sure it's supposed to be 118
