Today's Shave: Friday June 3, 2016 Ever-Ready 1914 Town Set GEM stainless steel ptfe (4) Plisson synthetic brush LA Shaving Soap Co. Blackfern Pinaud Lilac Vegetal I decided to finish out the (work) week by revisiting this 1914 Town Set one more time in order to confirm that it is indeed smoother/closer than the 1924. Confirmed. This was one great irritation-free BBS shave. I think I'm going to work some of my other 1914's back into the rotation. --Bob
I have tried it and liked it. It's hard to find now. Seems like the Luxury replaced the Deluxe in stores.
SOTD Sat. 6/4/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SS: Stirling Glacial Mita SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Pal Injecto-Matic Blade: Schick ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Pine Tar Cologne: Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene Good morning friends. Absolutely wonderful shave with the Pal this morning, very easy, smooth three passes and I'm dolphin smooth at the finish. Outstanding lather from the Glacial Mita and a much welcomed refreshing freeze to cool this horrible FL heat. Have a great weekend friends.
Razor: BV3 Blade: Schick (1) Brush: Omega 10066 Boar Soap: Eufros Terre Humeda A/S: Myrsol Metilsol Astringent The Bunny V3 arrived yesterday, very well packed and in perfect condition. Thanks @Spud. I used the Notso setting again and it is perfect for me. I find it hard to believe how effortlessly this razor removes stubble. I do my 3 passes with a touch of cleanup and doesn't even feel like I've shaved. Cold water rinse, feel my face, and a darn near BBS, much to my surprise. I know Tom is looking for information to tweak and perfect his razor, but in my opinion, and from my shaves you are already there Tom. To everyone else YMMV. I have re thought my opinion of the rivets and/or screws. I would stick with the rivets. In closing save one of these razors for my order.
