    Razor: Schick J1 ("Lady J")
    Blade: Ted Pella Injector (1)
    Brush: Horse With No Name
    Soap: Italian Barber
    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade
    AS: Nivea Balm/Brut Splash On
    Newspaper Date: Dec. 9,1943

My first experience with an injector in months (I`m an idiot). I don`t remember such comfortable shaves. I am soooo pleased with the total experience. I enjoyed every stroke. The 1st pass, ATG actually surprised me how smooth and easy it was, no boo, boos anywhere. Same with the 2nd pass, WTG, not even 1 dot of red on the tissue test. I think I can brag about a BBS after not using an injector for so long.

    Traveling with a Snake

In my usual monthly business trip, I decided to take with me a snake. A particular snake. Well, I should better say "the snake". A rare and unique masterpiece by Mastro Livi having the blade made from his well known CarboInox consisting of a stainless steel cutting layer and the outer layers made from Mastro Livi twisted carbon damascus steel. He also inserted in the stainless steel layer some awesome and breathtaking carbon damascus dots, giving the blade an incredible and beautiful "dripping paint" effect. As for the shave, this beautiful straight razor is keen like a snake giving a very close and super smooth shave. The incomparable refreshing and finishing touch of Floïd Blue gave me the most luxurious shave.
    • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
    • Soap: Negozio Leggero Hazelnut and Lavender Shave Cream
    • Brush: Omega Brush #10275
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Mastro Livi CarboInox Snake Razor, 8/8 Full Hollow, Snake Point
    • Post-Shave: Alum Block
    • Post-Shave: Argan Oil

    SUNDAYS SHAVE
    20160605_155037.jpg

Prep: MLS Sandalwood pre shave butter
    Razor: Gillette Red Tip
    Blade: Astra SP (4th shave)
    Brush: Semogue (courtesy of @Marverel
    Soap: OSP Sandalwood
    Post: Fine Santal Absolute

2 pass shave early this morning. The OSP has a unique scent, smells like a touch of citranella, not a bad scent just not not any other Sandalwood I have encountered. The Semogue Brush has been getting better with each shave. The soap whipped up a nice lather, but it will take a few more shaves before I pass final judgement. The OSP soap has a harder consistancy that the Phoenix & Beau, but the P&B soap made a better lather with the few shaves I have tried it so far. It may take a few shaves to get the water ratio right on the OSP, but I got a close comfortable shave so no complaints. Finished off with Fine Santal Absolut. Hope everyone has a great shave!

    Schick Krona
    Rapira Platinum Lux blade
    Whipped Dog synthetic brush
    TOBS Coconut cream
    HEMA Sensitive ASB
L.T. Piver "Eau de Cologne des Princes" cologne

Unfortunately the cologne only lasts a few hours, but that's the case with most citrusy scents (except the ARKO colognes; they could be used as chemical weapons).

Nice post, the red tip always intrigues me. Is it more aggressive or less than the SS?

How does one shave holding a razor with both hands? I`d like to see that, if you meant either hand, ok. Just poking fun at a friend, BTW, I just got on the injector train, ain`t it fun, think I`ll ride `til it heals my skin. Good luck Rob, and i always enjoy your posts, a friend.

I have a Durham Duplex safety(not straight) and a Durham Dorset, I also have about 30 original blades in original packs, 5 in each pack in various condition, one pack with 5 unused(as far as I can tell) blades, that pack had been opened but the blades inside were wrapped and looked unused. I tried one in the razor but it felt dull, I`m no expert, so I bought 100 Personna new carpet blades at Home depot that were supposed be usable but I just couldn`t make a go of it. The carpet blades are .017 thick and won`t fit in the Dorset, too thick. I understand that they make a carpet blade that is .009 thick and should fit the Dorset. I was wondering if you had some advice for what I should do. If there is any of this stuff you need, Just PM me. Bill

I think they are pretty good, especially after what I did last time I tried Tapatalk. I fondly admire Lady Liberty, you did good!
