A perfect Menthol Monkey Monday shave from my Glacial MITA soap which my Plissoft synthetic brush lathered so beautifully, with a bone-chilling menthol effect which is so typical of the Glacial soaps. The Diana balm and the Arctique aftershave completed the freeze the way I like it!

June 6, 2016 Razor: Aristocrat Adjustable (5) Blade: Rapira Super Stainless (1) Brush: VdH Boar Soap: Cella Somewhat back to basics today. The razor is definitely my favorite though it didn't get much use in May between travel and Focus. The brush is my usual go-to brush. After a month which included both Marvy and Williams (though the Arko was a pleasant surprise), I think I'm going to stay with the Cella for a while. The only new twist for today was the Rapira Super Stainless. I received a tuck recently as part of a PIF, but this was my first chance to actually try them. Except for a single Voskhod (which was part of a sampler and one that I really liked), all of my Russian steel has come from St. Petersburg (GSB and Astra). Not a lot to say really, the Rapira definitely lived up to its reputation and has me curious about the rest of the line. Everything else performed well also with the result being a DFS with just a little noise from the Alum. So, the week is off to a good start.
