Among other new scents, I'm tinkering with a lavender/woodsy blend. My experience is that folks either love or hate lavender...I'm one who loves it in blends as it can be something really special when you combine the right notes in the right proportions. What say you shavers? Weigh in here
Lavender is supposed to be a scent that helps you fall asleep faster. Might be good for those that shave at night before going to bed.
The only thing I have that I consider heavy with Lavender is Mike's Barbershop. I like it, but don't love it.
Lavender can range from fairly 'sweet' to fairly 'green' in character. Which do you expect to use in a woodsy blend, Kathleen?
Lavender-scented shaving soaps, bath soaps, aftershaves, etc help me a lot because I'm EXTREMELY nervous.
I like it , I've tried a lavender sage combo that didn't seem to pair well. The other was an all lavender scent and I love smelling it!
I'm a fan. I like darker versions like B&M Lavanille, but I'm interested in other takes as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm definitely a fan. CB's Menage a Lavande is one of my go-to soaps for a calm evening shave. It also reminds me of fond memories spent eating lavender ice cream in the lavender fields outside of Seattle.
I used to think that the only use for lavender was in horrible hand soaps and grandmas pot-pourris I love it in L'occitane - L'occitan, which I guess is a woody lavender
I'm using True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia, officinalis, vera) commonly known as English Lavender. It's a bit green, a bit sweet and a bit camphorous, but not unpleasantly so. I am loving the way the blend is shaping up and will probably soap it later this week or next. Have to get some restock batches done first.
Beautiful photo...how would I love to be there right now. It's 109 in my little part of The Valley of the Sun today!
