I took this picture before I saw @Red Rider post. Excellent shave on Menthol Monday. I always get great shaves with Route 66 soaps and the BV3 is an excellent razor. Finish with American Blend and it is a job well done.

Inaugural shave with the Eversharp Schick Injector G type.
    IMG_20160606_182254.jpg

The Eversharp Schick Injector Type G was aamaxing.
As promised earlier I had dinner a shower and a shave, the very first for me with the type G Eversharp Schick Injector. The 30 day focus with this razor promises to be a great one. I'm looking forward to the next 30 days with this razor.
Razor- Eversharp Schick Injector type G (G 1 I believe it is)
    Blade- Chinese Schick new.
    Brush- Omega 10098 Boar.
Lather- Ogallala Genuine Bay Run Lime and Peppercorn Shave Soap.
Post- OSMA Alum block followed by Ogallala Genuine Bay Rum Lime and Peppercorn Aftershave.

Tonights shave was pretty amazing. 3 pass shave one pass wtg, next pass xtg, last pass atg, and touchups. The results were almost BBS. The alum block seemed to have a little more of a sting to it tonight but it only lasted a couple minutes. The next 30 days with this razor will prove interesting. Doing the 30 day focus with the type G to get prepared for the arrival of the Bunny. All abroad the G train.

Roby good luck with the Gem Pushbutton. I have used the Gem 1912 and the Gem OCMM but never a Pushbutton. The Gems that I have used gave great shaves. I hope you enjoy it keep us posted. The SE train has lots of open seats on her enjoy the ride ....:transport022:

Thank you Jim . Awesome video. That's about all I can do now. Just curious, would it peel a potato. With a little modifications, I see kettle chips. LOL. Just joking. Really nice razor , and fine craftsmanship as well .

Just me talking about my own experience with injectors here. The lighter the touch the better the shave. Almost like you are tickling your face. That light of touch. I get no alum block sting now with my injectors once I mastered this.

You will love the G. If you find you want more out of it try a cut down Feather AC. SUPER SHARP but oh so smooth.

    Enjoy your month with it.

I'm very happy with it. I paid 7 dollars for her at a flee market a couple weeks ago and she cleaned up beautifully. Thanks Billy.

Thanks for that advice I will try to remember that. That's the reason I'm doing the 30 day injector shave to learn how to use this razor. Thanks again Tom.

Good morning guys. Just enjoyed a wonderful three pass shave with the GEM PushButton, this razor is such a treat to shave with. It's very easy to maneuver and works very well for hard to read areas like under the nostrils and also works very well ATG under the nose. This TFS soap is outstanding providing easy rich, slick lather every time with outstanding skin care throughout. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Riding the GEM train....... :transport022: Have a great day friends. :smile :):

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 Injector
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: Williams Mug Soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, Mennen Skin Bracer, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Nice shave with Williams Mug Soap this morning. I've been trying some tips from a thread in the Shave Soap area about how to deal with Williams. I've always had good lathers that dissipated on my face but have known others who have been successful with it. So I tried a few tips and got a nice, dense, slick lather that didn't evaporate! It was a really good shaving lather.

The G1 performed magnificently again. One pass with touch-ups is all I needed. The witch hazel felt good, the Skin Bracer cooled me off some, and the Nivea always tops it off in great fashion. Nice, enjoyable shave for this Tuesday.

Hope you all have a great day!

First go with the vintage Gem blade. Gave it a leather stropping prior to use. Different feel than the current blades on the market today. Felt thicker with less chatter. May need more stropping as it felt that it could be sharper on coarser neck hairs. Ended up with a clean close shave with minimal residual heat around neck that quickly faded.
Have two MMOC but find this brass version to be smoother gliding easier over skin.

:sick013:Those Stropping Blades are NOT for the Micromatic Family..The OCMM was the 1st Gem SE to be Specifically Designed to take Current Gem Blades..Interesting Shave Report though..;)
