So I take it you haven't used Öland.
That is the best juice Avon made.

 

All I can say is if it shaves half as good as it looks.... Awesome!

 

I haven't gotten to the actual shave yet...but there's a 'first impressions' write-up....

 

Too late for towel day, but there's always next year. It should go great with my Gotta 42 straight razor.

Just a quick little fyi in case you didnt know, when you change the settings you should open the doors or else the adjustment may be inconsistant

 

Oland is a interesting scent, reminds me of Special Reserve, not bad, but I prefer the Island Lime. The Avon Leather is good also.

 

Very nice haul! B&M 42 is a very nice floral, lemon, tea scent. I usually don't care much for florals, but really like 42. Enjoy!

 

Funny Capt. Murphy says it makes no difference if you adjust the settings on an adjustable with the doors open or closed.

That's where I think the problem is with the 109. It can't adjust with the doors closed. With the doors open it used to be hard to adjust and the adjuster tray didn't move. After cleaning, the adjuster tray freely moves up and down and it easily clicks in every
position with the doors open. I need to take a feeler gauge after it on 1 and 9 and see if there is a difference. .

I see this discussion come up often. The Captian knows how to break down and clean his gear. Some folks give their TTO's a thorough cleaning after every use. Many of my vintage razors showed signs of never having been treated with care or oiled to get back to like newness. We who use 50+ year old TTO's are like Hod Rod car owners. You learn to do the maintenance, pay someone else to do it for you, or you are the last guy to drive that old beast.

 

Just picked up at P. O. Beautiful titanium handle by Stork. Should match perfectly with my BBS-1.
