New feathers on my Duck

    Here's a rescale I just pinned together. Still needs a bit of clean up as far as the peen work, but I had to snap a few anyways. The scales are spalted sycamore with brass spacer and pins. Had this razor for a while now and the original scales were cracked so off they came. Just gave it a test drive and it is a pretty good shaver.... for a duck.

    Most of the time I look for old limbs from trees. I do have a buddy in Stockton Ca that runs an old exotic wood barn, he does contact me when he finds stuff I might be interested in. Then I just go looking through the wood with my band saw to see what I might find. I do make LOTS of saw dust!!!

    When I see pics like these, It is just another little nudge telling me to start use straights... But then my wallet says no :(
