What a great weekend. Terrific shave today. I am really liking this brush. This is the first time I use a rockwell blade. Pretty nice blade. Very forgiving.

Razor - Gem 1912 (first use)
Brush - Epsilon dense white horse hair
    Soap - Speick
    Bowl - Tinned Copper

The Gem 1912 proved to be an interesting tool. Close shave with good audible feedback. Switched blade early on to test vintage vs new blade. New blade proved sharper. Developed a wheeper on chin but could be due to first use naïveté. Did a full 4 pass down, side-side, and up.
Smooth skin with a bit of burn on neck which was soon pacified with Thayers and Alum block.

I too like it although I admit my favorite Pinaud aftershave is the Special Reserve.

Today was a great Saturday Morning shave. I have the house all to myself, so I picked my bestest, all to myself scent: Stirling Ben Franklin. 'Cause sometimes you just gotta smell like an old man's pants.....

I missed a couple of days, so it is always a treat to get out the scritchy Duke in Pure, and rough things up a little bit.

Used a 5 plate on the Rockwell with a GSB on its second outing. A cup of really dark coffee, and things were perfect.

    Have a great weekend, everyone.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160611_123440.jpg

    Prep: gustafsons woodlands
    Razor: Gillette Red Tip
    Blade: Ladas (5th shave)
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: OSP Sandalwood
Post: Osage Rub/ Captains Choice North Balm

2 pass shave this morning, 2nd shave with the OSP soap. It made a much better lather than last time, spent a bit more time loading and it really did the trick. The scent i did not care for at first, but it has grown on me, unlike any Sandalwood I have encountered. Was chasing the BBS shave, but luckily I didn't get burned in any way. The blade is still Goin strong, will keep going untill it shows signs of age. Finished the shave with CC North balm, very nice juniper Bay rum scent and feels moisturizing on the skin. Hope everyone has a wonderful shave!

I have a question about the WR-1 SB. Do you know if this head is more aggressive than the OC heads that Wolfman Razor offers?
