    I've thought about this too and I think an injector would have been a better intro to traditional shaving for me than a DE.

    Same, it's unlike the ones I've seen in the military kits, but that's really the only sets I've seen plastic and Bakelite handles on the gems

    Lather: Edwin Jagger Limes and Pomegranate shave cream
    Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

    Decent shave today, the main drawback being the lather was a little disappointing. But the G1 worked great again. I love that little razor. Have a great weekend!

    Today's shave with the G 1 injector was much better thanks to a little info about a feather light touch as per @twhite. Still got a lot to learn about this razor but no burning or irritation today. Thanks Tom.
    Razor- Eversharp Schick Injector G1.
    Blade- Chick (2).
    Lather- TOBS Grapefruit shaving cream.
    Brush- NOS Made Rite L1500 Pure Badger.
    Post- OSMA Alum.
    AS- Ogallala genuine Bay Rum Lime and Peppercorn Aftershave.

    Today's Shave: Saturday June 11, 2016

    Above The Tie SE1 w/CBW custom red cedar handle
    Feather AC Pro Super (2)
    Whipped Dog 24mm synthetic brush
    Stirling Bay Rum soap
    Captain's Choice Cat O' Nine Tails aftershave

    More fun with the SE1, today with a red cedar handle that weighs next to nothing, dropping the razor's weight to 2.4 oz (68 gm). This makes it quick and agile, albeit slightly head heavy.

    The SE1 continues to amaze me in how it takes all the nastiness out of the Pro Super blade, leaving me with an incredibly close shave, smooth as silk and totally free of weepers or irritation.

    Today is day 7 with this razor. Considering that I almost never stick with the same razor more than 2-3 days, that says something.
