Well the screaming isn't necessarily bad. Depends on how high pitched and how much wailing is involved.

The wife said the overall noise coming from the shower sounded like the love child of a banshee, a fisher cat, and nightmares.

    Pretty manly eh?

Well, since I have the ceramic container, and used Ryan's MWF hydration method, by the time I pried it out it would be like rubbing Crisco on my face. Until today, however, I would have had more success with the Crisco. It's still not my favorite soap, but I don't hate it as much now that I know how to get some passable slickness from it.

I did the same hydration method, with some mixed results. I used to put some water on the puck while in the shower, but I have since found this to not work as well. I have to take a dry brush (I use a synthetic) to the puck as it sits. Otherwise, I get too much water in it too quickly. For me, I have add water to this one very slowly. It is more finicky than my other soaps.

I never had problems making lather with it. I could make mounds of lather, thick, rich, cushiony lather. Beautiful stuff. But it was sticky. No mater how much or how little water I worked in, no mater how fast or how slow I added water, it was sticky. And after shaving my face felt like I had rubbed it with kool aid. Sticky. But today by face lathering instead of using a bowl it felt a lot slicker. Not Stirling slick, not WSP slick, but lots better. I'm satisfied now.

Best feeling aftershave in my den. First use of this Champion Cutlery Co razor, and a BBS in two passes. Good shave.

I've been following the MWF experiments and have got some here now, thanks to mrchick. I think I may try it tonight to see what results I get with it.

I agree. I've been using this soap every day this month and it is too soft to dig it out without making a mess. When I'm done with this focus, I'll pack it in a tube for travel and put a soap I like in the ceramic container.

Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Citrus bar soap
    Brush- RazoRock Tri-Colored
Razor- The Bunny with Notso comb
    Blade- Schick (3)
    Soap- Stirling Barbershop
Post Care- Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO and M-Bomb
    Florida Water with M-Bomb

It's going to be hard sending this razor down the road. I used the Notso comb tonight and it only took 2 passes for a BBS shave. Very comfortable shave but I did catch a small weeper on my upper lip by going too fast. Other than that,I had zero irritation tonight.

This was my first try of the Stirling Barbershop tonight and it's fantastic. Great protection, easy to lather, very slick and a wonderful scent. As I was shaving I imagined Andy sitting down for a haircut from Floyd. I'm looking for a barbershop like that here in Phoenix, if I walk in and it smells like this soap I'll know I've found my place. Have a great day folks!

Post: cold water rinse, alum, witch hazel, Gillette after shave balm

Well Boys and girls it happened tonight a BBS shave and with MWF to boot! I can't take all the credit for it Rufus T. for the razor and blades and to mrchick for the MWF and to all of you that have posted about MWF soap. I have been watching and reading your posts to see how you got it to work and I followed that advice tonight. I didn't expect a BBS shave but I got it none the less tonight. As I looked in the mirror and felt my face I saw Flipper staring right back at me and you know I think he was smiling. First pass tonight was WTG paying very close attention to angle and using very light pressure and got really good reduction. Second pass was XTG still trying to pay close attention to angle and pressure at that point I was almost to a BBS shave. I felt around and noticed my neck had a few spots that had a little stubble left so I pondered to go for a complete third pass or just try to clean up. I decided on the third pass as a full pass ATG and was rewarded with my first BBS shave with an injector style razor, 3 passes to Flipper smooth! I rinsed off my face with cold water and grabbed the alum to a slight tingle in two spots. I let that dry a bit and again rinsed off with cold water before splashing on a little witch hazel. I put on the Gillette after shave balm, cleaned everything up and was done feeling really good about my shave. I did not expect a BBS shave the third night with an injector razor, even less with using MWF for the first time ever. The stars must have aligned just right tonight for it to happen, maybe it's a fluke maybe not. To be continued tomorrow night! ;)
