Take a used DE blade, most of it will scrape right off. I don't think the CLR would hurt the blade, but it would probably destroy the scales.

When someone prices stuff within my budget, I have to buy it. Right? $2.50 for the mug and $1 for the Rook, full by the way.. I will admit, I passed up on a lighthouse for $4 though...maybe I'll go back tomorrow when I talk myself back into it and am bored again.

Oh? I assumed they all held what I found in a full vintage bottle. My mistake. Next time I spot the dusty shelf full of Avon bottles I'll be jiggling them looking for more full containers! I guess it makes sense to offer their full line so you'd be tempted to collect the set.

    A very Wilkinson-day.

    a) A NOS Wilkinson Sword Atra-compatible cartridge w/ five carts
    [IMG]

    and,
    b) Eleven vintage Wilkinson Sword Bonded sample razors (each with a cart)
These were used as promotional give-away items during cigarette campaigns - buy a carton of cigarettes and get a free razor.
For $10 for the lot I guess the sub-dollar cost/razor isn't too bad.

Nice haul! $10 is not bad for 11 and they are cool razors.

Well, I guess I have to go get some Atra blades now.... I already had a gold GEM but when they are in a box for $1 each, you have to pick it up.

That is cool. I really liked my Atra back in the day. I wish I still had the handle, I'd surely get some blades.

Picked up two 8" no name CI skillets today and an old 12" Wagner. The small ones just needed cleaned; the big one had some light surface rust all over but that came off easy. Dried it on the stove, then hit it with a thin wipe of oil. Let that heat near to smoking for a good while. It's nowhere near perfectly seasoned but I test fried and egg in it with just a tiny spray of oil. That egg slid around easy as you please and never once came close to sticking. Even the Wife was impressed.

Ain't never going back to teflon.
