I had a wonderful cold shower followed by a relaxing shave. It's very satisfying shearing off 2 days worth of stubble with both comfort and ease.

Swirled up some Bourbon Jungle into my Belgium OS mug. The "Becky" whipped up some nice warm lather, after setting the mug in the sink filled with HOT water for a few minutes. The Futur made quick work in 2 passes WTG XTG. I really like the ease it is to shave with. A little touchup on my neck ATG and done. Nice rinse with hot water, and pat dry. Then a splash of Cucumber WH which felt good, nice and fresh. After cleanup some JB and when it dried, some Old Spice original Shulton from the '70s. Y'all have a good one!

 

Really good post, informative and good pics.those techs seem to be the work horse of the industry. I know I like mine(48-50) model a slight mild, but a good shaver. I noticed your mascot too.

The Model is a Herder 77..Its a Stainless Blade..The Black Scales are Quite Rare but Show up from Time to Time in Japan or Japanese Sellers..

Another excellent decanter Don. I also like your shave brush. Route 66 Bourbon Jungle is a very good shave soap. Could be my favorite, however, I like all my Route 66 soaps.

Thanks Doug! I picked up the Blue Ship awhile ago and it came with an interesting story, and a picture of the Drug Store. I love the history of the things we find.

OS Ship

Good evening Don. Thanks for picking up this old glass ship. It was one of the few odd things we found while cleaning out the basement of the old Drug store. While most items we found like entire boxes of vintage glass pill bottles, medicine droppers and such. This odd ball item was just sitting there on a lower shelf as if it was hiding for some strange reason for decades. I really have no idea of its age or how/why it ended up sitting in the basement. While the fragrance Old Spice has been around for ages and it is completely possible he was the one who used its contents. I don't recall Sherl ever smelling of it. LOL. Then again he closed the store in the old building while I was still a toddler.

During my younger years I remember him as that crazy guy at Kmart wearing white lab coat when my mom would go in to pick up some prescriptions. He would always come up with some small toy he had stashed away behind the counter. He'd reach behind the register, grab up a toy, pay for it and reach down over the counter to hand it to me with that GIANT smile he always had on his face.

Hope this item brings a grin to your face when it arrives and for years to come once on display with your collection.
