    Razor - Gold Dollar 800

    Soap - MWF
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
Post - Cold rinse, Alum, Nivea, The Veg

Well would you look at this! Enough time to post early, which is a rarity anymore. Not sure what motivated me as the morning has never been my favorite part of the day. Must have made the coffee extra strong this morning.

Third shave on the GD800 and I slowed down today. Made sure lather was right, which didn't take too much since it is the Fat after all, and took a few breaths before setting the razor down. Focus! Find the Zen of the razor. And, very nice first stroke and overall first pass. I let the audible feedback guide me as much as anything and used my shave zen for every set down of the razor. Rinsed, went XTG on the second pass and got lost a bit on the left side trying to find the grip to get it right. Again, took a few breaths, found my happy spot and went back to work. Nicely finished. Checked and I had a fine, fine DFS and decided I was done. I could have probably gotten the baby but, this close is a great shave and no cuts, knicks or other problems.

Hit the alum and........all's quiet on the western front. And my face as well. Nice. Nivea to moisturize and I used the Veg as a body splash today to defend against the heat today. It's hot and muggy in the Lou. Had an underground fire downtown last night that knocked out power, caused by heat, a couple of broken water mains due to heat....just a normal Summer day here in paradise.

    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade

Pretty much the same as yesterday, WTG/ATG with clean up. Hand a little shaky, must have timed my meds a little off, but not bad, just had to go a little slower. Results about the same, no irritation or weepers. I`m satisfied, as I feel of it now, it feels like a "Good Clean" close shave. I`m good with it. Hope the rest of you are too. Best wishes to all.

    Wash - Meissner Tremonia Puristic
    Prep - Noxzema
    Razor – Merkur 34C HD
    Blade – Personna Med Preps
    Brush - Duke 3 Best
    Soap – OSP Bay Rum
    Post - Witch Hazel

OSP lathered like a champ, the soap likes me, so it's a keeper.... the Merkur was far too mild, even with Meds, will have to seek a more aggressive blade next time, I've plenty to work through, so I'm sure I'll find something suitable. BBS, even though it took a while, so job done!

Brush: Whipped Dog 30/45 Silvertip 2014
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream/Soap: Geo. F. Trumper's Coconut cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1973 - 1975 Lantern Decanter AS

The Gillette Tech is a great razor, and it is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. Nice lather and great Coconut scent to get me started. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup, smooth. The Tech with this great lather will let me chase the baby, but I had to be careful not too go crazy, as I will pay with some burn. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm. Then some Old Spice original Shulton from the '70s. This Original Shulton has a great scent that is a little powdery, and the new stuff can't quit match it. very nice! Y'all have a good one!

Great ! I`m looking forward to trying some `50`s style shaves in the near future, just have to gather a couple items. My cupboard is kinda full right now, but I`m getting low on some things. Actually all you need are 3 things, a razor , a can of lather and an a/s. A little nerve wouldn`t hurt, though.
