    Dove Men Face Wash
    TSD Iced Lime
    Jayaruh #81 (first shave)
    Gillette Red Tip
    Personna Super
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    T.N. Dickinson's WH
    Pinaud Clubman

The TSD Iced Lime Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #81 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Red Tip razor with a Personna Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Friday's Planned Shave

    prep-Nivea 4 Men Energy(in shower)
    shave-Rise Super Foam
    razor-Gillette Sensor 2 Pivot + Disposeable
    A.S.-Aqua Velva Ice Blue**

**-I've decided to set aside the Rise a.s. balm for cooler/colder temperatures. Humidity is coming fast, and while my face was smooth(the A.S.), it wasn't cool&refreshed. AV will fix that, as will the TSD Subzero when I use that. Rise has great overall features, but it's best used in the fall/winter, with it's moisturizing ability. Therefore, for this summer I'll be riding the Aqua Velva/TSD Subzero Express :).

Getting the Big Iron dialed in. Tonight just called for a straight razor shave. The J A Henckels just seems to get better and better every time I strop it before I shave with it now that I have a good canvas strop.
    IMG_20160623_201010.jpg

Strop- Vintage broke in Certified 323 Deep Cut Diamond Russia Back Leather and Canvas.
Razor- 33 J A Henckels Solingen Zwillingswerk wedge.
Brush- NOS Made Rite L1500 Pure Badger.
Lather- Ogallala Bay Rum Lime and Peppercorn Soap.
Post- OSMA alum block followed by Ogallala Genuine Bay Rum Lime and Peppercorn Aftershave.

3 pass shave with very good results. Getting better with every straight razor shave I do. Edge maintenance is a big key to good results. The learning curve is a long one but it is definitely worth the effort.

    LATE NIGHT SHAVE
    20160623_220110.jpg

    PREP: MUSGO REAL ORANGE AMBER
    RAZOR: GILLETTE TECH/ SOMERSET
    BLADE: SUPER-MAX CHROMIUM (1ST USE)
    BRUSH: RAZOROCK Plissoft
    SOAP: PHOENIX & BEAU SPITFIRE
    POST: REEF POINT AVIATOR BALM

I have some important business early in the morning, so I figured I wouldn't have time to shave beforehand. I want to publicly apologize and retract my statements about the scent of Spitfire. It was a case of "don't knock it untill you try it", when I first sniffed the tub I couldn't stand it, but I found a different tub that smelled completely different to me. Absolutely love this scent now, I am completely blown away by how my interpretation of this scent has changed. Anyways, the performance is top 5 easily ( I am not affiliated with P&B in and way, just to make that clear). First time with these blades and they were not bad, although they didn't have to cut the days of stubble, they felt smoother than I would have thought. Curious to see how these stand up to the Blue Diamond and the others, thank goodness for places that let you try individual blades. Finished the shave with Aviator balm and it is the closest A/S I know of to pair with Spitfire. Have a great night TSD!
