  1. ok you are hearing it here First I got a complete WTG pass tonight with my SR! and this is only my second shave with a SR.

    SOTD
    6/24/16

Pre: Shower, Nivea face wash, light coat of Arko and rinsed it off
    SR: Antoni Tadross
    Razor: Schick L1
    Blade: Chick (6)
    Brush: TGN Finest
    Soap: Arko stick
Post: cold water rinse, Maggard Alum, witch hazel, Nivea cooling sensitive aftershave balm

I guess I got a little over zealous or maybe I just wanted to see if I could do it. I got a complete WTG pass with my SR tonight, mind you I have a goatee with mustache and I did not shave that off. I did get the rest of my face without a nick or weeper with my SR. I started off with my face prep and applied a light bit of Arko on my face and with wet hands rubbed it in good then rinsed that off to get a nice slick start. I Stropped my razor 30 times and then lathered my face good with the Arko stick thinking I was just going to do my cheeks plus a little more tonight. Well I decided to start on my left cheek tonight and it went so well I moved over to my right cheek and then felt of how smooth my cheeks were. I had stretched my face just right so I had gotten below my jaw line so I thought what the heck and just went for shaving my neck. Got all that done and felt my face it was pretty good and smooth, I could have stopped there and called it a DFS but no! I reached the Schick injector and went ATG with that and a little clean up I was BBS I could not believe it. I was so proud of myself for doing a complete WTG SR pass and one additional pass, and that got me BBS I smiled and I thought I saw Flipper smiling back at me. I did get the slightest irritation in one spot on my neck but that was it! I finished with a cold water rinse and applied the alum, as before being so close I had to keep running water over the alum to get it to slide over my face as it seemed to want to stick. I splashed on some witch hazel and then applied the after shave balm, looked in the mirror and liked what I saw. I then thought to myself don't get over confident with this, if you do it will come back to haunt you!

  2. I've never seen a TV commercial for The Veg. You might have something there.

  6. OK so I've put away the straights and straight like razors. Doc said I was severely depressed and gave me a pill that may make suicide seem like a good thing until its fully in my system so I'm being very cautious before I start it.

as a result I got a real DE shave today.

    Super Speed
    Sharp Star (2)
    WD synthetic
    Route 66
    Floid Amber AS

3 days of growth starting the shave and 2 passes plus mild touch up gave me an irritation and sting free BBS. The spring water here at my moms house is so much different than the city water I had before. Lather was effortless. I think the Route 66 I used was Ghost Town but its been a while and Im not positive any more.

  11. Hey Mark, hang in there! Every morning..maybe try to spend time in the sun early, shortly after awakening. I find that it helps me get my mind right. Drink lots of water and don't skip eating...its important to keep on keeping on. And maybe you'll feel better too. Hopefully this is actually just the beginning of the true happiness, even if it starts with you at the bottom.

  12. This is a public service announcement

If it does not contain the following words:

Fatal, Terminal, indictable, malignant, permanent or irreversible, etc...

It's gonna be ok. I promise. Sometimes life is a cool walk in the forest, other times it's a panicked run through the trees. Most of the difference simply lies in how we feel about our world.

    Thanks for reading.

    June Focus Day 24:

    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    MWF
    Greaves Wedge
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    The Veg

This was the best shave to date with this razor. Glen spent a lot of time getting his razor to a shave ready condition, and it can be great. I find this one needs a little more attention on my part, but it will shave well, as confirmed this morning. I did one pass with some clean up and ended with a DFS. I added a little Veg at the end in anticipation of a great Saturday. I hope everyone has a great day!

  20. Razor: Shumate Tungsteel
    Strop: Drygulch Chromexcel/ hemp linen
Brush: Dubl Duck M-2 w/ Omega boar
    Soap: Barrister & Mann 42
    Post: Cold water, Alum, Thayers'
Aftershave: Stephens Island Lime w/ M-bomb
    Stinkgood: Hugo Boss The Scent

Relaxing no rush shave for Saturday morning. My three year old asked me to put my mustache back, so I won't be shaving my lip for a while. Two and a half passes, and I almost caught the baby. Just a little irritation on my neck. Love the soap and aftershave. M-bomb makes the aftershave awesome. No work today, so put the Hugo Boss on. Kept the menthol on the face, so no snowballs today.
