Let's have a little show and tell today. Let's see everyone's brushes after you've used them for a while. This is my first Badger Hair brush I've owned it is a New Old Stock Made Rite L1500 in Pure Badger. I purchased this brush on March 19th of 2016. It was never used and still in the original box. I don't know how old it is but it is a really great brush. I think the bloom on iut is fantastic but like I said this is my first badger brush so I don't really know what they are supposed to look like with some usage on them I don't use this brush every day but it is in my rotation of a very limited brush (4 usable brushes) rotation. First day of ownership After the first use March 20th 2016 Today June 26th 2016 What a difference. So let's see your bloomers . Ken P
This is one of my favorites, the Jayaruh #70. It is half oak and half koa. I originally put a synthetic knot in it, but got a VS silvertip for it. The big picture is post bloom. I set my knots with silicone, so it is an easy fix to change out the old knot. Below you can see how the synthetic came out. I decided, however, to set this one with epoxy.
My Tulip has a pretty nice bloom. It's still a little damp in this picture. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Nice brush thanks for sharing @Jayaruh . You sure do nice work on your brushes. Hopefully I can make one that looks that good some day. Ken P
I have pics of my Chubby 2 synthetic, but it doesn't have much of a bloom. It would cool to see a well used Chubby 3 in Super 3 Band. Those can get a Hellacious bloom on them.
That's a beautiful brush @oscar11 . I really like the shape of the handle I think that is my favorite style brush handle. Nice bloom thanks for sharing. Ken P
