Shovelheads? Yeah, I got 'em. :happy088:

The bottom two are frankenrazors - easy to do since the 1924 uses a standard 10-32 thread for the handle.

The above shot shows the variation in handle mounts - and there is at least one more.

Focusing on my Schick Type L (L1 and L7) this month using a variety of blades.

    06-28-16.JPG

    2-day growth, 2-pass shave - XTG, ATG
My 3rd shave with the Type L and Twin blade combo. I’ll be finishing up the final June shaves with them as well.

I liked this shave today because I was late and it caused me tend to the basics without repeat strokes, touch-ups or chasing. I just focused on each stroke and went onto the next for both passes. Great first pass reduction and a fine CCS all over - BBS on my usual easy spots (cheeks); minor stubble, not noticeable to anyone but me, on my trouble spots (jawline and jowls).

The Twin blade will probably become my preferred blade with this razor with the FergieFeather right behind it.

    Cheers!

Fabulous shave this morning with the PAL Injecto-Matic, this is my favorite injector razor, it provides me with perfect shaves every time folks. I'm so glad I used Stirling MITA this morning the Glacial blast is incredibly intense and provides much relief from the heat and humidity we are having here. Excellent shave soap! I am dolphin smooth and refreshed. Have a great day friends. :happy108:

I spent almost a week with an early E2 while traveling recently. With 2.5 days growth I decided to return to the Heljstrand. It was also my first outing with Haslinger's soap. The headline is the wedge was slightly tuggy on the first pass but easy going after that and a face rubbing super close finish. The Haslinger's was an instant hit. I've never used a soap or cream that was so easy to lather. It felt creamier than anything else I've used and will be a regular in my den for sure. :happy036:

Tonights shave was a 3 pass routine with the M3 Protector. Great shave but the soap I chose was not the best it was some artisan made shave soap that lathered up great the first time I used it so I grated up three small pucks to put in my Burma Shave mug and I can't get it to lather up and stay it seem to dissipate rather quickly. Prep- Cold water wash and rinse.
    Razor- Schick Injector M3 Protector.
    Blade-Schick Twin (3)
Lather- Artisan made shave soap barbershop scent.
    Brush- Omega 10098 Boar.
Post- OSMA alum block followed by T. N. Dickinson's unscented witch hazel and Ogallala Genuine Bay Run Lime and Peppercorn aftershave.

Took the PAL Adjustable out for a spin tonight. It has been months that I haven't used it. Did 3 pass ended up with a CCS. Nothing to write home about. Had the angle come and go tonight. Touchy in that aspect. Had trouble with the jaw line tonight. I will need to use it more often to get it dialed in.

I've always liked the Pal Adjustable better than the Schicks of it's day (J, K, L, & M).
The E & G compare favorably to it, but the Pal still gives me a closer, longer lasting shave.
I've been using a Pal Adjustable since I started shaving in 1965, and I still use one today.
I understand that most people prefer Schicks to Pals, but not me.
I've never tried the earlier Pal Injectomatic, but I've heard good reviews, and I'm sure someday I will.
Yesterday I bought a Schick C-1 which should arrive soon, so I will probably be neglecting my Pal for a while.
Here's a picture of it from eBay.
