My day will be one of some sadness, as I just learned last night that a dog I sponsored at the animal "village"(I call it)that I visited in Utah last year passed away. He was one of those who was part of a cruel dogfighting ring, and he died from a disease suffered while "fighting". At the shelter he turned into a lovely dog, quick to notice the love and care he got. But the shelter chose another dog for me to sponsor, and I love the choice. He too came from a dogfighting ring, and I just hope he didn't suffer as much as my first "sponsee".
Becky and I are going to a few new-to-us antique stores up north. Hope to find a paddle strop to use for my knives. Sorry to hear, Paul. Take comfort in knowing he spent his final days being loved and not abused.
How's my day? Great and fantastic! The sun rose in the East and it's summer. Lots of fun things to do this time of the year, and life is too short to be bummed about anything for more than five minutes.
Today I stayed indoors & avoided the heat. But not to waste, the day, I made a batch of fresh vanilla ice cream.
