No, belive me. I do. Ask @obi1page, @NCoxSTL, @mrchick, @Mr. Freeze93, or @Bama Samurai. I appreciate well done instigation. Some times though, you have to jump off the bridge to get the other kids to follow...
Some people will do anything as long as I keep the cookies coming. The Cartel has complained about the cost to keep you guys happy just in cookies. I explained it as a necessary expense to avoid violence.
Never let it be said I won't put my money where my mouth is. Shave report to follow after the kids get settled and less likely to burst into the bathroom. Edit: notice I used the Ladas, just in case anyone wanted to compile a blade chart for Popsicle/Corndog sticks.
Glad to have you jump in! I see you chose a flavor that makes the sticks already look blood stained. I like it
Psychological, I figured if I don't notice the blood I'd be less likely to quit. Besides Pomegranate is my favorite.
SOTD July 5th Just had one of those WOW shaves complements of my Cooper MonoBilt, Wilkinson Sword Classic and Tabac. Everything was spot on for an easy comfortable 3 pass BBS shave. Exquisite! Have a great evening gents! Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
See...the band kids do respond to peer pressure! (Ok, so I was a band/debate kid in high school...full disclosure). Let's see, without looking back I know Adam used a Rapira Swedish, mine was a Voskhod, one of them used an Astra. That's three Russians. Add your Ladas that's four Russians...three Moscow, one St. Pete. Editing for current blade count - 2 - Astra 1 - GSB 1 - Voskhod 1 - Rapira Swede 1 - Gillette Stainless. So that's 6 shaves, all Russian blades with 4 from St. Pete, 2 from Moscow. Astra was a good choice due to its general good temper and mildness so not surprised it doubled up.
Okay the shave is in. The kids walked over to their Nana's, so I jumped at the chance to get a quiet shave in. In hindsight, using Stirling Glacial Lemon was a dumb idea. By the time I moved over to my right cheek and consequently my right (off) hand, my eyes were watering and I nicked my cheek and had to stop and apply alum. Other than that though, it was an uneventful DFS. I still prefer my full hollow straights, but I'm with Neal, either we're really bad dudes, or stunt shaving isn't as dangerous as Slash McCoy makes it out to be.
I wouldn't recommend it to someone without any experience with a straight, but it wasn't bad. I'd just avoid the menthol in the future.
