I was in Leavitt & Pierce in Harvard Square this past Staurday and had a near death experience. I made the mistake of opening and smelling the tester bottle of Pinaud Lilac Vegetal.
I picked up a bottle this evening and tried it a litte. It's... diferent. I honestly can't say if I like it or not. I may have to try it a few times, which is odd. I don't hate it, and I *THINK* it doesn't seem to cause any irritation ( which is a HUGE plus in a scented product for me. I'm sensatative to a lot of them)
I thought I would "uncover" this thread since there are so many LV fans on TSD and because I jyst received a sample of it myself. This seems to be the most controversial scent I have ever heard of btw. I am a huge pinaud clubman fan, and my sample smells spectacular. I am interested in buying a bottle, but if there is no consistency,I am a bit concerned. Of course, at $8, im not too worried.
I used it today, inspired by your resurection. My shave was very good, and i feel like im on the better side of the veg today. I decant mine in a glass bottle.
"it's good" does work if you're a basketball announcer and you watch a player knock down a jump shot. But yes...more enthusiasm is needed relative to shaving.
For those that have purchased a quantity of The Veg and found themselves among The Chosen - decanting to a glass bottle is a must do. I found a shaker top bottle that serves well. Last nights shave below.
I have found that I love tje veg. Now i have to procure more of it, and hopefully a vintage veg lilac glass decanter to put it in
The Church of Scientology has procedures in place for these kind of members. Back sliding must not be allowed! I don't know his circumstances, but I suppose there are reasons for a 7 year absence.
"To the Bat Computer , Robin!" "Holy Search Terms, Batman..." Let us know if you find anything @Paul Turner ?
For me, lilac vegetol has a flowery baby powder smell. I enjoy it. Through research, I do believe it is best to decant it in a glass bottle, however. The original pinaud clubman is one of my "go-to's."
If it's going "bad" in the plastic bottle due to chemical this and that, wont it be too late to decant to a glass bottle, once it's already been in a plastic one of god knows how long?
