I have been told that it mellows in the glass and can be "saved," but i have not experienced it firsthand since i actually use my aftershaves instead of letting them sit on a shelf for 20 years.

 

I was more thinking of the shelf time at the store. But perhaps that's way too short for anything to happen.

Is there something innate in lilac or lavender that gives Veg the powdery note? I'm guessing no since Clubman has it too.

 

I find that powdery note inherent in Clubman products in general, not specific to those notes.

 

That's what I figured. High doses of powder in anything really turns me off, so that combined with the...unique notes of LV always keep me away.

If there was something that approximates what LV started out as but without a powder bomb, I would definitely try it.

 

shaking it helps now and then, right?

 

Mine doesn't rest long enough to need much of that.
