    NCoxSTL AAACK!

I am planning to compile everything from what I learn on gaps/aggressiveness etc. along with the daily results from each shave. I will be keeping up with posting here everyday as well as in the 30 Day Thread. I'll probably put more info on the 30DC just to avoid cluttering SOTD up too much, and will put even more on my blog as far as details, observations, explanations etc. That will become the largest repository of info. At least, that's the plan. This will be a year or longer project to go through all of the blades and I expect a lot of detours for information about razors etc. to go along with it. Thanks for your encouragement and interest!

Excellent selection of gear Doug. Haven't heard of Judson Private Study before, how is the aroma and shave quality of this soap?

The TABAC Original Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #70 silvertip brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Black Beauty razor with an Personna Super blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Speick After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor- Clauss Fremont, O. U.S.A. SR, PAL InjectoMatic
    Blade- Schick (2)
    Soap- Route 66 Barbershop Hop
    Post Care- Crystal Alum
Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO and M-Bomb
    Osage Rub

My second attempt at a straight razor and I didn't bleed so we're calling it successful. I made the wonderful Route 66 lather a little thin and lathered my right side. I had a couple days growth and I had a hard time getting the razor to cut smoothly. I did my cheek and then lathered my left side. Using my left hand, which worked better than with a DE, I started and had the same problem, it just wasn't cutting good. I stopped, did a full lather and let my PAL eat. It devoured my beard in no time flat. I then lathered my right side again and tried the straight. This pass went much better, no pulling or tugging and I did my cheek and neck. I then lathered my left side and using my left hand again I completed my left cheek and neck. I then used the PAL for my chin and upper lip. My third pass was ATG with the PAL and I finished BBS smooth with almost zero feedback from the alum. Splashed on some Thayers and finished with the Osage Rub for a successful shave. Have a great day folks!

Will do Mark. You guy's are right, these Timesless Razors are beauties. Not a mark or swirl anywhere on the finish and the blade and top cap have zero play on either the Straight Bar or OC heads or baseplate.

Good day 2. Just work on getting comfortable with the grip and the pressure. And remember it takes some time to get good at it! For me 30 days to learn, at 60 I was shaving well, 90 I had mastered it.

    You can do it!

Marvelous shave this morning with the Schick N1 loaded with a twin blade. The twin blade transforms this razor into an efficient whisker whacking tool. This JabonMan shave soap is called Lima-Incensio which translates to Lime-Incense. It smells lovely and packs a great menthol kick which is not lost on me. Three passes for a dolphin smooth and refreshing finish. Have a great day guys. :)
