1. True….the shirt message and beard do seem incongruous — but there are plenty of those 'H-Folk' who'll wear anything if the message is hip….:D

  3. Maybe he's wearing it ironically?? Or maybe his beard just grows reeeaaalllly fast.

  6. This is what I was thinking. A small silkscreen business could turn out some interesting shirts, with help from someone who does a little shaving artwork. I thinks some well designed shirt would sell fast throughout the Vintage shaving community. Most, not all, of the shirts I have seen are somewhat bland, or boring. Some of the better ones are just advertising for their business.

  8. My wife's best friend does t-shirts and I'm positive she can make you whatever you want. If you would like I'll ask her the next time I see her.

  9. It's been a few years, and I don't have any equipment, but the process is still the same. Setting up a silkscreen is the time consuming part. The printing goes quick. If preparing the artwork for the stencil is the hangup, I'm handy with photoshop. We can make this a group project if enough folks can agree on a particular graphic. A single color is easy.

    My favorite shirt. :)
  12. That sounds like a good idea.
I like the old artwork used for razor blades and razors, as well as the old catch phrases and logos. I would love to do a startup business and produce shirts like this, but I don't have the time because of my regular job. This idea seems like an untapped area in the Vintage Shaving rebirth.
It would be pretty cool to see some artist create some conversation starting designs.
I'm not a fan of the gory or skull infused designs.

  13. The entire site looks very hipster, and trendy. But his designs on his products are well done. For the life of me I don't get his "Holy Black" logo meaning.
  14. I do not mean to step on any toes and would love to see something like this, BUT please be careful of copyright. A lot of the old images and logos still fall under copyright (at least in the USA).

  15. Naw. Just say you didn't intend to violate any copyrights. The feds will have to drop charges.

I thought about that, but if you use old defunct companies you might be safe. Or just use original artwork.

  17. Yeah, that's it. It's an "homage" not a copyright violation. lol.
  18. The logo is a straight rip off of Wade and Butcher's old logo. As for the name "Holy Black," no clue. I think he explained it on Reddit one time, but I can't be bothered to try and look it up. I think it was in one of his Reddit AMA sessions.

  19. Well it's not as though he hasn't pretty much flat out ripped off names, logos or slogans before.
