Glacial Obsidian is the real "Big Guns". I have some. You're official if you can shave with Glacial Obsidian and not have to take breaks because your eyes are watering involuntarily..

 

I have Glacial Obsidian soap and the Splash. Arctique is easily colder. I do love all the Glacials though.

 

Actually saving my last bit of Glacial Obsidian for a rainy day as the Spousal Unit hates the scent and told me not to rebuy it or use/wear it around her

 

Good info. I am, in fact, a freeze head as well, but have abstained in 2016. I started SR on New Year's Day 2016, and this Samurai heeds his own advice. I've been getting back in slowly to be safe. Osage is my gold standard for cold. Things in my mind are pretty chilly if they beat Osage in menthol punch, especially if you get nuts with it.

 

This Arctique makes Osage Rub feel like 150 degrees. If your a freeze head I think you need this in your den.

 

True. Blade exposure is another determiner of aggression so that can make a difference.

 

Mrs. Samurai also detests anise. She also bans Old Spice and anything heavy on patchouli.

But on the plus side, she likes watching Bama and GBPacker football, poker, understands ufc, and likes Veg. Keeper.

 

Having shaved with a Sharp star in most of my razors. I can say that it is sharp enough to make mild razors great and smooth enough to make aggressive razors tame. Also great in the Hurt Hinge shavette I have.

No shave last 2 days. Work was busy enough that no one noticed and I had today off. Spent it shoveling out goat barns and chicken coops. The dust from the latter is killing my allergies and my eyes. I had mask and eye protection but that stuff gets in anyway.

 

Quick report... Did the Sharp Star in the Leopard Salon Razor. I can't add anything more about that particular blade, but will do a combined 2Day report tomorrow.

Sharp Star is worse than tiger. Avoid purchasing.

WOW, that surprises me Bama Samurai! I get really close and great shaves out of them in my DE razors, most of the time.

 

I was being very sarcastic. There's an ongoing joke Neal @NCoxSTL makes about how I manipulate stock prices through slick internet photos and reviews. He insinuates that this is an unapproved Cartel sideline business, but since it's Kyoto...he knows you can't judge the hustle the you ain't running. Just like I don't talk about all that unpasteurized organic outlaw borscht he imports using Romanian nuns as mules. It's pretty brilliant though...they take the borscht in a milk tanker disguised as shipping container to Amsterdam where it's put on a freighter. St Louis is a deep river port. Cut it up with some V8, and you sling it twenty dollar cups like the ice cream man. But, I digress...

Seriously though. It's amazing that they're NOS and cheap. If enough internet buzz happens...prices rise as demand increases.

We've temporarily stopped using Romanian nuns. Business is good and we were losing too much time for their daily meditations. Once we catch up on supply we'll go back to them again. Cheaper labor than we can find elsewhere you know.

 

I'm not saying that more then likely after the stock at Maggard sells out that it will be gone till next summer but if this year is anything like last year I would pick up a bottle or two ASAP.

On the other hand I have no such obligations and have a bottle inbound as we speak (type?). I also have a bottle of TSD M-Bomb on the way. This has been one long hot Summer, and there's no relief in sight.
