Hi all, I'm new here. I'm a grad student and started wet shaving January 2nd, 2016. I really enjoy it, but I keep things simple: 1 razor (Merkur 34C) and my silver tip Savile Row 3118 (small hands). I'm still zeroing in on the best DE blade(s) for me while working on my technique with great success lately. The community here seems inviting. I look forward to exchanging ideas here. -W
Welcome. When using DE razors, I like feather platinum, but apparently some find them too "aggressive." I also believe in astra and shark blades. Get a sampler and see what works for you.

to TSD "athawulfs" Your starting with a good razor. As for blades you just have to keep trying different ones until you find the blade/blades that work best for you and your technique.
