  1. Hello,
I'm new here, so I hope I'm doing this right. I'm looking forward to becoming apart of this community, but soon I'll be going on exchange and need to clear out some items. I thought this would help someone sample some TOBS and Proraso products for free.

What: (1) TOBS sandlewood cream (tub), approximately 30-40g left. (2) Proraso pre shave (white), about 6-8 ml (out of 100ml) remaining.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to sample either product without fully committing. Shipping only within continental US (probably slowest method).

How: simply list two foreign languages you've studied. The first language should be the one you're better at and/or prefer. Must have studied 1 year at high school or a semester at college for the language to count. First person who matches me there will get the prize.

    Go!
  2. I took 2 years of French.. Lol but I only know how to count to 15 and I know how to say "Je suis une petite fille"

I am Hispanic and lol and my Spanish is definitely the better of the two
  3. Well, I guess the one I know the best you could say I studied from my Mom. She was Greek and it's what I learned growing up. So you could say I studied for years. Also took three years of French and although I never really used it a lot, I can still kinda understand it and count and still retain several words of it.

  4. 4 yrs of German and 2 yrs of French back in HS in the late 70's. I can speak more German than French, but still probably sound like I'm auditioning to dub Apu (from the Simpsons).

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by going "on exchange"?

  5. I'm in!
One year of Spanish in High School too many decade ago, followed by sporadic opportunities to put it to use has left me with the ability to mimic, yet a near total loss of vocabulary comprehension.
While working with a gentleman from Belarous, I picked up a bit of conversational белорусский. Sadly that too has slipped away.
    Use it or loose it.

  6. i'm in ...

three years of german in HS ... two years of german in college ... one year of latin in college

i can still throw out a few german phrases here and there but don't practice much. most of our younglings have taken or are taking latin in HS. so, it's fun to go through some of the homework and lessons with them.

  7. I'm in.

Two years of Russian in high school. Two years of Spanish in college. Love the Russian, but by living in Texas the Spanish has the more practical applications and benefits. So, I prefer the Spanish.

Great PIF. Thanks for the opportunity to try some great shave gear.

  9. Im in. I studied french for 3 years in highschool and spanish 2 semesters (1 year) in college. I got into French because all the hot girls took it. ;)

I live in Texas, however, so the Spanish is much more helpful to me. I am probably better at Spanish because I get more practice with it.

  10. Study abroad but as a grad student. Did that as an undergrad, but get to go back to the same place as a grad student near the end of my program!

  11. Mandarin and Modern Standard Arabic. No preference towards one or the other, just a bit better at Mandarin having studied it a year longer than MSA.

  14. Not in.

My foreign languages are English, French and Mandarin (Chinese).
English is my strongest foreign language. I learned it by watching too many Hollywood movies.

Chinese is the second. I have to go to Guangzhou, China to study it.

French is the weakest. I only took a summer course once. Retained only some sentences.

  16. All of your experiences so far are interesting. If nobody matches me by Monday, I'll use the randomizer for those who opted in (and reveal my combination).

    Keep the responses coming!

  17. I'm in! I studied 3 years of French in high school and 2 years of Spanish in college. I don't remember a thing from either. Growing up there was a lot of Italian, German and Polish spoken in my grandparents houses but I was never taught any of it

  18. I speak fluent Sarcasm, am fair to middling in Wife-anese, and know most of the Spanish curse words...

  19. Not in, but I had some German in high school and college and a little Flemish and norwegian while I lived in Belgium and Norway. I'm actually more fluent in pig Latin, but I don't suppose that counts.
  20. Haha. That is exactly me.
