My first shave with this 210 year old beauty and it was a great shave. Two pass DFS.
I actually like the shape of the blade. It was easy to maneuver and was very smooth

 

That old blade took a very keen edge. The thinness of the tang is what may take some getting used to.

 

I look forward to learning this one. First impressions were great. Thanks for putting such a nice edge on it.

This Wester Bros. is one of my restored antique store finds. It clean up nice. Blade is very sharp and smooth. This is a nice little shaver...a keeper for sure. Two passes and smooth as silk.

I tried out my Wade and Butcher "Elite" today. Over all, a DFS after 2 passes. I'm fairly pleased with it.

I did feel just a bit of tugging in a couple of spots and I was able to see why when examining the blade under a microscope. I'll try honing it again to see if I can do better.

Excellent shave this morning. I have a couple of Sir Hare soaps and get superb lather and a very good post shave feel. No need for balm even in the summer. Have a good one.
