Don't know how old something has to be to be called vintage, but that's an old Gem Pushbutton, push the button (that black thing under the razor head) one way to open, the other way to close. I have two, one like Jim's, one brushed chrome with a gray handle, and they are excellent razors.
Got these two from AOS. 30% off today and I had a $40 gift card from last year. So out of pocket was $2. This will most likely be my last purchase there. It's too expensive.
My new brush arrived today and it's a beauty. It arrived in the mail less than an hour before I left on a trip and I have it with me. It's been rinsed and is ready for first use. My lovely wife bought this for me for our anniversary next month but didn't make me wait to open it
I Got My NOS French Special Monneret Full Hollow 6/8th in the Post Today & All the Inlay Markings are Intact & Beautiful..This SR has a Heavy Art Deco Thick Spine & its a Very Compact Design..I Am Delighted..I Will get Her on the Hone & Sharpen it Up.. Lovely Jovley.. Billy
I consider it vintage. They haven't been made in this century. Mine is not in as good of a shape as this one. Good shaves to you, sir.
heh...Walgreens website had them priced at $5.29, but their shipping charges nearly doubled the price. I did just order some of those Ted Pella Teflon-coated blades from Techichi Shave Shop for $1.05 less than his fleabay listing. He's fast, too. I'll probably have them by the middle of next week. Edit: just got an email notification from Techichi Shave...my blades have been shipped. This guy is *good*.
Every week when my wife and I go grocery shopping, I pick up another 10 pack. At $4.29 per week, my shaving expenses are kept below the radar! I must have around a hundred SE blades stockpiled by now.
