Today I added a wind sock to my target stand. Using a 3' wooden dowel, a screw & a jump ring, I got it to spin freely and not block the target.
Today I was stoking on the steam tram. About 32 degrees Celcius (about 90 F), and you're stiking a fire in a riding stove. It was kinda hot. But great as well. I learnt a lot of things about stoking, driving the tram, cleaning, lubricating, maintenance etc. When I rode on my moped to the tram at 5.30 AM the moon was still up, the sun was about to rise and there wasn't a cloud in sight. Wonderful! Tomorrow another stoking (hot) day!
I was walking some right of way for work this morning, and got so covered with woodticks that I had to strip down to the buff and change clothes when I got back to my pickup. Had at least 50 of them crawling on me after I took my pants off, and lord knows how many on my clothes. Pants and skivvies went straight into a garbage bag and into a rolloff. They are as bad as I have ever seen them this year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Noisy. Not only was it "Bring your kid to lunch day", it was our annual fire system valve inspection. Beeping from the intercom...beeping from the alarm panel...beeping beeping beeping beeping beeping beeping...ugh.
Quiet day. I went out to pick up some gold-colored wire (usually used for jewelry-making) to use in the design of a music box. I have the works, which were bought at a Dark Shadows Festival charity auction. It is a replica which plays a melody that was pivotal to a story. Once it arrives, I will be using a brass filigree trinket box, to hold the works. The wire will be used to secure the on/off switch. Pics, when I put it together.
Storm took a bunch of my roof off last night. My trampoline is crumpled up three yards over and my power is still out. Running on a generator at least. And to top it off, I am working 400 miles from home, so can't do much. Oh well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I got the parts to put together the music box today. I just needed to drill a 1/4" hole in the base for the key and then use some jewelry wire for the stop lever.
Had a nice workout at the gym...hardly anyone goes on Saturdays. OK, a handful. My cleaning-lady is here as I write. Always makes the place look like I just moved in.,
Uh, Paul? When she's putting things back into boxes, my guess is that she's trying to tell you something.
I finally found a good barber, I've been looking for one for a while now. This place is like Floyd's plus they use Osage Rub.
I just replaced the battery on my iPhone 5 and it looks like I didn't mess anything up. It wasn't difficult, but my fat fingers aren't made to work with those tiny screws, I'm glad I didn't lose any.
