Injector & SE Party !!!

That was my thought as well, but I wasn't sure. It does look like it could be fun to load.

 

Never seen one of those but I agree with @twhite. It looks like a sleeve that would fit over a modern SE blade. Hard to imagine though given when the 1914 was popular. Maybe a blade holder of some type that fits vintage blades? I can't tell if a blade slipped inside would have the sharp edge still exposed. It looks like the ends would be protected but not the middle.

 

This is just a guess but it may be a blade holder to be used with some sort of stropping or sharpening tool similar to an Allegro or Kriss Kross. It certainly has nothing to do with the 1914.

Interesting. Loading the Twin blade was no more difficult than loading a single blade - there was some resistance, but it slid right in. Perhaps they had no idea whether or not the twins would work and simply went with the safe answer.

What a great arsenal for a great shave to start a great day! I definitely concur with your thoughts on the Type E. I much prefer the bakelite handle material of the E to the plastic seamed one on the G. However, the G is a legend in my shaving adventures. I once went about 30 shaves with a single Chick blade in my first G. On the other hand, the E is incredibly smooth and absolutely demolishes stubble The handle design on both of them is incredible as it allows you to easily rotate the razor for hard to reach areas with the ridged corners.

In addition, Florida Water is amazing! It gives one of the smoothest post shave feels of any as (after the burning flames that it brings of course)

 

Beautiful pic Karl! Right now my Pal Adjustable and I are spending some time apart I had been shaving daily with it for a few weeks on the lowest setting, but wasn't getting great shaves. With the legend that is my Type G sitting around dishing out no effort BBS, I decided to put my Pal away for the time being, but after seeing you sotd I almost want to get it out for tomorrow Breaking up is hard to do, as they say

I think you may well be right on that, judging by shop prices they are not really catering for the real shaving community . Maybe will have to work out how to get one.

Just now I completed a wonderful three pass shave with the Alumigoose. My Mongoose blade sampler came in yesterday and today I tried the Feather Pro Super blade with wonderful results. La Toja produced it's usual creamy, slick, protective lather. I am dolphin smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day my friends.

I Had the Most Wonderful Shave this Morning with my CV. Heljestrand Lather Catcher & Hollow Ground Blade..This Swedish work of Art is just the Dogs Danglies..Air Craft Precision Engineering of the Day..I am of the Opinion that No Factory Blade SE Razor can Look Near this Razor for Comfort & Over All Performance & a Luxurious Shave..This is One Darn Luxurious Shaver Indeed..

Anybody that is Having the Slightest Tugging Issues with these Hollow Ground Blades...Well..They are Not Proper Shave Ready & that's it in a Nut Shell..The Weight of the Razor is Too Much..Too Much Pressure..The Touch Needs to be Lighter then Light..Like a Feather Blowing in the Wind..

This is a Real Hussies SE cause it demands a Woman's Touch..I Rinsed with Cold Water & Applied My Witch Hazel & Not even a Hint of a Sting..I am thinking of Doing away with my Schick Twin Blade Shaving System because this CV. Heljestrand is has Just Taken Over that Role for Me..

I am On My 5th Shave Since Honing this Blade & its Just Settled in..It has a Killer Edge But as Smooth as a Butter Knife on the Face..I have the Most Perfect all Over Every Darn Direction BBS Result & My Skin is Velvety Smooth..

I Am of the Opinion that these Hollow Ground Blade SEs are the Grand Ultimate Shaving Instruments with a Properly Honed & Sharpened Blade..Oh..Yeah..Anybody that has One of these CV. Heljestrands..Use the Guard Bar..If You Don't Lift the Guard Bar You will Prematurely Blunt the Blade by Slipping it Down..Its Subtle but it Effects them Over Time..

That's Why its there & that's Why I Stopped Using Lather Catchers without a Guard Bar..Thats Me Talkin Tho..

That is a great looking razor. I definitely want to try a lather catcher at some point. They look like great shavers.

 

These Hollow Ground Blade SEs are Only as Good as the Person that's Honed & Sharpened the Blade..Its Simple but Unfortunately Few Can Do it..The Chinese Gung Fu Masters have an Old Saying..

"The Simplest is the Highest"...In Other Words.."Few Can Grasp it for Trying Too Hard"..

A nice shave this morning. First use of this soap and it's a keeper. Excellent barbershop scent, easy to lather and plenty of protection. I used a little more water on the 620 and it worked better. I'm getting it dialed in. The Hussy performed great this morning. Three passes and I'm completely smooth. I wish it had a little more weight but it is easy to maneuver. For anyone interested I'm doing a pass around with this razor starting next week. The alum was silent and I like the Osage and Old Spice lime combo. Have a great day folks!
