August 6, 2016 Cobra Classic Feather Pro (6) Simpson CH 2 Synthetic Route 66 Frozen Margarita Witch Hazel Folsom & Co Shambala A great Saturday morning shave makes for a good start to the weekend. With a slick base of Route 66 Frozen Margarita, the Cobra just wiped the whiskers away. I decided to chase the baby with a few touch ups and ended with a BBS. F&C Shambala was the perfect end to a great shave. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
Thanks Roby! With all of the feedback from everyone that has used the PALs, I just have to add this to my rotation. Between my SEs, SRs and injectors, I haven't picked up a DE in several weeks now. Hmmm..... All aboard!
I am adapting just fine. Today's shave was much easier. I think of the handle as a ribbon handle. It is very unusual.

Saturday Shave Brush- Semogue 620 Razor- PAL adjustable Blade- Chinese Schick Soap- Route 66 Barbershop Hop Post Care- Crystal Alum Thayers Witch Hazel Osage Rub Wow! What an excellent shave I got with this PAL adjustable! I started on the H setting (which I believe is the lowest?) and went WTG. Tons of reduction, nice audible feedback and zero hesitation. I then relathered and went up 1 setting for my XTG pass. Again it was very smooth. The final ATG is usually where I get some hesitation, especially around my chin. Not so this morning. The PAL just slid right through what whiskers I had left, which weren't many. For a first shave with a razor I'm very impressed. As usual the Route 66 soap performed flawlessly. I'm starting to get the feel for how much water to use with the Semogue and it's getting better and better. Zero feedback from the alum and a double dose of Osage Rub has me prepared for the day. I'm going to go throw some lead through some paper this morning. Have a great day folks!
Ben, I'm so happy it worked for you brother and also that you're dialing in the 620. Beautiful photo!
Today's Shave: Saturday August 6, 2016 ATT SE1 w/Jurgen Hempel Microfine 1 Titanium handle Jeather Artist Club Professional blade (6) The Grooming Co. synthetic brush Haslinger Schafmilch shaving soap Aqua Velva For today's shave I just grabbed whatever was handy. I'd forgotten how good Haslinger Schafmilch is, requiring no effort to whip up a great lather. The SE1 continues to impress. On shave #6 the Feather Pro blade had smoothed out noticeably but was still plenty sharp for a BBS shave. Continuing my classic theme (yesterday was Old Spice), I finished off with Aqua Velva. It's a classic for a reason. "There's something about an Aqua Velva man. " --Bob
